We've all had little slip-ups at work, and for the most part, things work out okay.
But game show host and household name, Pat Sajak, must have been holding his breath after his slip-up during a recent episode of Wheel of Fortune.
During a bonus round on the famous game show, the contestant had 6 of the 12 letters to work with.
As the final letter, the letter "A," was revealed, Sajak could be heard taking a harsh breath off-screen while the contestant appeared disheartened.
Sajak responded:
"Yikes. Well, I'd rather be standing here than there, quite frankly."
Wait. Did Pat Sajak just say "quite frankly"?
Yes, he did, which also happened to be the answer to the question.

Fortunately for Sajak, the contestant didn't catch what he said and use the answer. But unfortunately for the contestant, he didn't wind up figuring it out for himself, either.
Sajak confided later he had said the answer accidentally and hadn't meant to aid the contestant in any way over other contestants.
But true to Sajak form, he also used the moment as an opportunity to joke about himself.
"I [realized what I said] right after I said it."
"I wonder how many people at home caught it."
"But you know, in setting up the thing, there weren't that many letters up there, so I said, 'I'd rather be here than there, quite frankly,' which was the puzzle!"
To audible gasps from the audience, Sajak quipped:
"But it just goes to show you that people are concentrating, and they aren't paying any attention to me."
"And you know, he didn't get it. And there was no reason he should just based on that. But it's funny what your mind, what your brain, what your mouth will say and that your brain says, 'You shouldn't do that!'"
Viewers enjoyed the little slip-up.

It's always disappointing when a contestant doesn't figure an answer out, especially when viewers at home have. But it's probably for the best for Sajak, since skeptics at home may have wondered if he was trying to assist a contestant.
But it just goes to show we all have our moments, and the best thing to do, quite frankly, is to find a way to laugh at it or see a silver lining.
