When it comes to Pedro Pascal, we made the right person famous.
During the Berlin red carpet premiere of Pascal's latest film, Fantastic Four: First Steps, Pedro Pascal advocated once again for transgender people and transgender rights, citing their community as inspiring.
Speaking to a reporter, Pascal advocated:
"It’s important to protect people, especially those simply asking for the right to exist in bodies that belong to them and in the world that they never asked to be brought into."
"It’s a very, very small, vulnerable, inspiring, courageous, and brave community that fills me with a lot of inspiration. Therefore, it’s very important to protect that. They would do that for us."

@pinknews Pedro Pascal has once again spoken out for the trans community at the premier of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. On the red carpet for the film in Berlin, Pascal was asked why it's so important to stand up for the trans community, to which he responded: "It's important to stand up for those who are simply asking for the right to exist." This isn't the first time Pedro Pascal has stood up for the trans community. Earlier this year he trolled transphobes in his Instagram comments, he regularly shows support for his trans sister, Lux Pascal, and has most recently spoken out multiple times against JK Rowling. #pedropascal #jkrowling #fantasticfour #transcommunity #transrights #lgbtqia
Pascal began loudly and proudly speaking up for the transgender community when his sister, Lux, came out as trans, though he's undeniably been an ally to the LGBTQ+ community for a very long time.
Pascal spoke out against JK Rowling celebrating what her husband called "TERF VE Day" after she donated $96K to the anti-LGBTQ+ group For Women Scotland, and the U.K. Supreme Court issued a judgement calling for "sex" and "woman" to be identified strictly as "biological sex" and "biological woman," fully excluding transgender individuals.
When she shared her celebratory post on Twitter (X), Pascal called her behavior "awful, disgusting s**t... Heinous, loser behavior." Rowling scoffed in the comments and called Pascal a "trier."
Pascal, of course, did not let this deter him and "tried" again days later, appearing in public in a "Protect the Dolls" t-shirt, which refers to and honors transgender women. Created by Connor Ives, sales of the shirt fund Trans Lifeline.
Most recently, during an interview with Vanity Fair, Pascal revealed himself as a concerned ally.
"The one thing I agonised over a little bit was, am I helping? Am I f**king helping?"
"It's a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something can actually happen and people will actually be protected."
"I want to protect the people I love. but it goes beyond that. Bullies make me f**king sick."
TikTok showed its support.

Pedro Pascal is being mindful of how he approaches not just supporting the trans community but also in how he addresses those who stand against them, and that's something we all need to practice.
By continuously speaking up about the LGBTQ+ community and specifically the transgender community, visually representing with T-shirts, and moving focus from himself to the communities he supports at major red carpet events, Pascal is undeniably using his platform for good.
