Sure.

President Donald Trump lashed out at his former fixer Michael Cohen on Twitter Wednesday morning hours after Cohen's opening statement to the House Oversight Committee was published late Tuesday night.

Cohen, who last year pleaded guilty to eight felonies including lying to Congress, intends on telling the world that Trump is a "racist," "con man," and a "cheat," that Trump knew about Roger Stone instructing Wikileaks to release stolen emails to damage Hillary Clinton, and that Trump directed Cohen to lie about a secret Trump Tower Moscow deal Trump was pursuing during the campaign.

Cohen plans on testifying that Trump reimbursed him while in office for illegal hush money payments to women with whom Trump had affairs.

Cohen will answer questions by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday while Trump is attending a second summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The distance has not stopped Trump from trying to discredit his former attorney.

"Michael Cohen was one of many lawyers who represented me (unfortunately)," Trump tweeted. "He had other clients also. He was just disbarred by the State Supreme Court for lying & fraud. He did bad things unrelated to Trump. He is lying in order to reduce his prison time. Using Crooked’s lawyer!"

Cohen was disbarred by a panel of judges on Tuesday for making false statements to Congress.

But as many on Twitter pointed out, Cohen was Trump's long-time confidant, and the "bad things" Cohen did were at the behest of Trump.

Only the best people or whatever.

A year ago, however, Trump rushed to Cohen's defense after the FBI raided Cohen's home and office.

Trump swore Cohen would never "flip" and that Cohen was a "wonderful person" whom Trump "has always liked and respected."

The whole world saw it.

Cohen, who was sentenced to three years in prison for his role in a slew of financial and campaign finance crimes, has nothing to gain by lying again.

This is really bad for Trump.

Cohen will give additional testimony to the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday, but behind closed doors.
