A North Carolina family watched helplessly as their beloved cat, Ricardo Blanco, fell into Hurricane Helene floodwaters and disappeared—only for him to turn up eight days later.

A North Carolina family has been reunited with their cat, Ricardo Blanco, after losing him during Hurricane Helene.

The Collins family evacuated their Burnsville home on September 27, but in the chaos, Blanco escaped and was later seen on top of their camper, which floated away in the floodwaters.

The camper collided with a neighbor’s house, and the cat fell into the water while trying to climb onto the roof of the house. The son in the family attempted to get back to save him, but was prevented by downed power lines.

After eight days of mourning, the family heard Blanco's meow while cleaning their property.

“He knew to come home, he’s a survivor."

He was treated for minor respiratory health issues at a mobile clinic created by Best Friends Animal Society, and is now recovering well.

“He’s doing fine, playing and doing all the normal stuff."

Pritzker Perfectly Claps Back After Trump Tells Him To 'Spend More Time At The Gym'

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker issued the perfect response to President Donald Trump after Trump said Pritzker "ought to spend more time at the gym"—quite the laugh coming from a man who isn't in shape himself.

Pritzker's weight has long been the subject of attacks—Trump has previously said Pritzker was “too busy eating” to lead his state—and Trump added his latest insult to the mix while complaining about Democratic governors who've pushed back against his plans to deploy military troops into their states.

Karoline Leavitt Gets Brutal Reminder After Making Brazen Claim About Trump's 'Transparency'

Leavitt made the claim in response to a tweet from White House correspondent Philip Wegmann, who writes for the conservative news site RealClearPolitics, one of the right-wing news outlets accredited by the White House as part of a larger shake-up intended to counter "liberal news narratives."

Trump Dragged After Claiming Maryland Governor Gave Him Dubious Compliment In Private

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump has a long history of telling unsubstantiated stories about "big, strong men" approaching him "with tears in their eyes" to thank him or tell him how amazing he is or how much they admire him.

The stories have always involved generic archetypes: military members, police officers, firefighters, manual laborers. Which might explain Trump's obsession with 1970s disco super group The Village People.
