MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin broke down the real reason Donald Trump is choosing so many "political losers" for his second administration.

MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin broke down the real reason President-elect Donald Trump is choosing so many "political losers" for his second term's administration.

Mohyeldin noted that many in Trump's orbit are people who have lost at the ballot box or otherwise suffered other political blows to their reputations and careers—making them especially prone to do Trump's bidding to save their own skins and elevate their status.

You can hear what he said in the video below.

Donald Trump has long made it clear: he's all about "winning." But his recent picks for top roles in his admin. reflect a striking pattern of a whole lot of losers - people who have been defeated in elections across the board. Ayman Mohyeldin explains what this tell us about Trump's priorities.

He said:

"One way Donald Trump is consistent? Well, for years, he has been branding his enemies or his critics losers and those who kiss the ring as winners. And yet, for someone who’s all about winning, there is a striking pattern emerging in many of Trump’s picks for positions in his cabinet and administration."
"We’re seeing a whole lot of political losers, people who were defeated in elections in just about every way imaginable."

Mohyeldin pointed out some very inconvenient facts about Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio and former Hawaii lawmaker Tulsi Gabbard, among others:

"Let’s start with Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida or Little Marco, as Trump repeatedly called him as he wiped the floor with him during the Republican presidential primary back in 2016. Rubio may now enjoy a second act as Trump’s new secretary of state."
"And then there’s Trump’s pick for director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, the one-time surrogate for Bernie Sanders, who lost the Democratic nomination for president in 2020."
"It’s not just people who have tried to compete with Trump for the White House and failed. Trump has also welcomed figures into the fold who have lost key races for the Republican Party. Mehmet Oz, for example, tapped to be head of Medicare and Medicaid. He lost the Pennsylvania Senate race two years ago to John Fetterman."
"Linda McMahon, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Education. She lost two Senate bids to Democrats in Connecticut in 2010 and 2012. Lori Chavez-DeRiemer, who just lost her reelection campaign for a congressional seat in Oregon to Democrat Janelle Bynum. She had already lost two times to Bynum prior to that loss."

He added:

"Now it might seem odd for Trump to pick so many political losers until we remember what we're actually dealing with here. Trump has said that the biggest mistake of his first term was 'choosing the wrong people,' in others words, people who at times would push back against his policies."
"Aides would try to put up guardrails, outmaneuver Trump by slow-walking or ignoring directives they saw as ill-advised. Other times they'd mount 11th hour campaigns to reverse them. Let's remember in 2020 when Trump wanted to send active-duty U.S. troops to respond to mass protests after the murder of George Floyd ... Trump aides resisted, concerned about the illegal use of the U.S. military against our own citizens."

Mohyeldin noted that Trump's picks are now "fully committed" to backing the "America First agenda" and that he is "giving new political life to people who otherwise wouldn't be able to get into a presidential administration or Cabinet either due to their political losses or in many cases a complete lack of experience."

He stressed:

"He's seeking out people who need him and as a result will be entirely malleable and dependent to his whim. All of this allows him to maintain more control over his second time in the White House in an attempt to reshape the presidency as we know it."

Many concurred with Mohyeldin's assessment.

All he wants is compromised, yes men whom he can control.

I think trump knows his days are numbered (hasn't released medical reports) & he wants to leave this mess of criminals behind for us as his "retribution".

What it tells you about is the level of the the pool of candidates he has to choose from. Only desperate, obsequious, trash would even consider putting their careers on the line for the likes of him. The disintegration of his first administration illustrates what awaits them.

One thing has never been more clear about Trump: He cares more about loyalty than political competence. But that loyalty is a one-way street. Trump will gladly throw these people over board (or under the bus...pick your metaphor) the second they cease to be useful...or adequately pliant.

We Just Got Our First Look At The Official Popcorn Bucket For 'The Odyssey'—And Everyone Is Making The Same Joke

At this point, movie studios aren't competing at the box office. They're competing to see who can create the most unhinged popcorn bucket.

We've had giant sandworms. We've had oversized Deadpool & Wolverine helmets. We've had designer handbags full of popcorn. We even somehow survived the predictably lackluster Melania Trump popcorn bucket era. Now, The Odyssey has entered the chat with a Trojan Horse popcorn bucket, because apparently subtlety died somewhere around 2024.

'X-Men' Star Has Important Wakeup Call For Men After Revealing He's Been Diagnosed With 'Super Rare' Breast Cancer

Breast cancer does not discriminate between people. While it is more common in women, one out of 755 men will also be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Because "breasts" are associated with women, people—including doctors—often do not recognize early signs of breast cancer in men, so they are less likely to be diagnosed until a later stage, which makes treatment more difficult.
