Vice President Mike Pence spoke in front of anti-abortion lobbyists at the Susan B. Anthony List & Life Issues Institute Luncheon in Nashville, TN, on Tuesday and told attendees that in these divided times, "I couldn't be more proud of the deep compassion of the pro-life movement and the continued commitment to be there to love them both."

He proudly proclaimed in front of the enthusiastic crowd, "Life is winning in America once again."

Pence, who signed into law H.B. 1337—a bill in March 2016 that placed restrictions on abortion providers—expressed his excitement for attending the luncheon and brought with him greetings from Trump and called him "the most pro-life President in American history."

`Referring to the year of the Roe v. Wade decision, Pence said, "For all the progress since 1973, I just know in my heart of hearts that this will be the generation that restores life in America."

The vice president reminded the applauding crowd that Trump addressed the March For Life in Washington, D.C. a month ago, promising the fight for the right to life. "And I can assure you, the President is keeping that word every single day," Pence assured.

He mentioned another highlight of the administration's first week in office when Trump reinstated the Mexico City Policy that prevents American tax dollars from funding abortion clinics outside our borders.

In addition to briefing the crowd on the administration's progress in limiting access to abortions, Pence admonished Democrats for being a roadblock for the pro-life cause:

The truth of the matter is that the other side, the other party, continues to go farther and farther to the left, even while Americans — especially younger Americans — are choosing and embracing the sanctity of life more and more every day. And we have to be their voice.

Pence encouraged the attending broadcasters to use every platform possible to speak out on the cause of life, ensuring that by working together, abortions will be a thing of the past.

The work is timely. And I truly do believe, if all of us do all that we can, that we will once again, in our time, restore the sanctity of life to the center of American law.

Spoken with the cadence of an evangelist, he reinforced his faith in the crowd pushing for pro-life.

And so I urge you on, but I do so with confidence — with confidence that good news is around the corner in America. I have boundless faith in the goodness and decency of the American people. I have boundless confidence in that President that you elected and the pro-life majorities in the Congress of the United States and in states all across this country. And I have boundless confidence in Him who said, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.

In contrast to the approving crowd assembled at the luncheon, it was a different story on Twitter where much opposition was expressed.

This clarification came for the vice president.

This assessment nails it. Pence must be shivering.
