Far-Right Podcaster Hit With Hilarious Reminder After Branding 'Girl Dads' As 'Super Cringe'

Matt Walsh laid into dads who identify as "girl dads" in a viral tweet—but the internet came with the receipts of his own past usage of the term.

"Rules for thee but not for me" is basically the right-wing's entire organizing principle, but the latest example of the trend is quite an eye-roller, and it's getting Matt Walsh quite a bit of blowback.

The far-right propagandist recently laid into dads who identify themselves as "girl dads," mocking the term as "cringe" and "corny."

That's a pretty interesting sentiment coming from one of the leaders of a movement so obsessed with making babies they've proposed paying women a $5,000 reward for having one, but consistency is not these people's strong point.

Anyway! If there's one thing conservatives hate more than men having completely normal emotions, it's trans people. So of course Walsh's screed against "girl dads" was directed at someone sticking up for trans rights.

Walsh wrote:

"Identifying yourself as a 'girl dad' is super cringe and corny."
"Also a weird way to try to inoculate yourself against claims of sexism or whatever."
"I have both boys and girls. I’m not a 'girl dad' or a 'boy dad.' I’m just a dad."

You know, just the usual nonsensical, eyeroll-inducing pablum Walsh has made an entire career out of.

But there's just one problem: Walsh's take on "girl dads" was actually a complete 180 from his own self-described dad career.

Back in 2020, Walsh posted his own "girl dad" tweet that is still live and searchable. And speaking of "super cringe" and "corny," he not only used the phrase "girl dad," he used the HASHTAG. Eew.

God, what a dork, right? But wait! There's more: Just an hour before that tweet, Walsh had posted an entire PARAGRAPH about how much he loves being a "#girldad" as if he's some blue-haired liberal cuck with emotions or something.

In that tweet, Walsh droned on like some kind of teen-angst poet, gushing:

"Without a doubt the best and most encouraging trend I've seen on Twitter is #girldad."
"Fathers sharing their pride and love for their daughters. Doesn't get more constructive and wholesome than that."

People on X were quick to drag Walsh for his dumb, hypocritical take with receipts from his own tweets.

Walsh's dumb tweet got so many receipt-laden responses that it now bears a community note reading "Matt Walsh has referred to himself as a 'girl dad'."

Don't you just love it when these right-wing grifters invent so many new weird outrages that they can't keep track of which manufactured BS they're currently on? Oops!

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was swiftly criticized after she tried to sweep aside President Donald Trump's role in the Epstein files, urging the press—and by extension the public—to "move on" from the matter.

Trump has done everything he can to dismiss or downplay the outrage surrounding the documents, which are said to contain detailed lists of some of his former friend and associate Jeffrey Epstein's most high-profile clients and enablers. The late disgraced financier was a convicted pedophile and sex trafficker.

JD Vance Slammed After Warning U.S. Olympians Not To 'Pop Off About Politics' During The Olympics

As several Olympians have made headlines in the past week for statements critical of the Trump administration's policies, particularly amid the ongoing nationwide immigration crackdown, JD Vance criticized those Olympians who, as he put it, "pop off about politics."

For instance, freeskier Chloe Kim, the daughter of South Korean immigrants, who has previously addressed how racism has impacted her career, said "it is really important for us to unite and kind of stand up for one another for all that’s going on." Figure skater Amber Glenn also described the current climate in the U.S. as especially difficult for herself and others in the LGBTQ+ community.

Matthew Modine's Brutally Blunt Reaction To The 'Stranger Things' Finale Is Going Viral—And Yikes

The fallout from Stranger Things' fifth and final season continues, as fans, critics, and now former cast members share their thoughts on how the story wrapped. Joining in season one, American actor Matthew Modine portrayed Dr. Martin Brenner, aka “Papa,” to Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven.

Dr. Brenner was a shadowy government scientist tied to the U.S. Department of Energy and deeply involved in the events unfolding in Hawkins, including the disappearance of Will Byers. Initially positioned as the series’ primary antagonist, Brenner loomed large over Eleven’s traumatic upbringing and the origins of her powers.
