A mere two days after the historic Notre Dame was engulfed in flames, a man walked into New York City's infamous St. Patrick's Cathedral with two gas cans and lighters.

A security guard for the historic church saw the man enter the church with two canisters of gasoline, lighter fluid, and two lighters. He confronted the man and proceeded to notify nearby authorities who took the man into custody.

According to John Miller, the New York Police Department Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism, the unidentified male parked a minivan near St. Patrick's around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

After the man was stopped by security, he left the church but was later stopped by police officers on Fifth Avenue.

John Miller stated,

"His answers were inconsistent and evasive, although he remained conversational with them and cooperative."

Miller also said,

"It's hard to say exactly what his intentions were but I think the totality of an individual walking into an iconic location carrying over four gallons of gasoline, two bottles of lighter fluid, and lighters is something we would have great concern over. We're looking into his background and talking to a couple of other agencies."

The NYPD posted about the incident on Twitter reminding New Yorkers,

"If you see something, say something."

Many locals are thankful for the authorities' attention to the matter.

Others can't help but notice the uncanny timing.

Mostly, people are just disturbed at the thought of this man's near-attempt at destroying another historic cathedral.

Just like Notre Dame, St. Patrick's Cathedral's ceiling has a wood-framed attic.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
