Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has emerged as one of the foremost far-right lawmakers elected to the House in 2020.

Boebert owns Shooters Grill, which encourages its wait staff to openly carry firearms on the clock. She's expressed support for the QAnon conspiracy theory and suggested that mass resignations of members of Congress are imminent. Just ahead of the failed siege of the United States Capitol by pro-Trump extremists, Boebert said the effort to overturn the free and fair election was "1776." During the attack, she updated her Twitter account with the locations of lawmakers.

Now, in a questionable tweet, she's accusing President Joe Biden of trying to "cancel" the Fourth of July.

Boebert was alluding to Biden's recent hope that Americans would be able to safely gather in small groups for Independence Day after the pandemic that's killed nearly 600 thousand Americans upended daily life for over a year.

In an address last month, Biden implored Americans to get the vaccine when it becomes available to them, saying:

"If we do this together, by the fourth of July, there is a good chance you, your family and friends can get together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout or a barbecue and celebrate Independence Day."

Conservatives in Congress seized on this, hysterically claiming Biden was trying to dictate their fourth of July celebrations, rather than using an Independence Day celebration without the weight of the virus as motivation for getting the vaccine.

Boebert's tweet backfired heavily.

The mockery was swift.

While Biden won't be canceling the fourth of July, Americans are still encouraged to follow CDC guidelines for their celebrations.

Dem Rep. Offers Brutally Accurate Reason For Why He Can't Understand 'The Mind Of Donald Trump'

Massachusetts Democratic Representative Seth Moulton made a fitting observation about President Donald Trump's mind after Trump gave a 20-minute address to the nation about his war in Iran on Wednesday evening.

Trump claimed “core strategic objectives are nearing completion” in the Iran war and vowed to strike Iran "extremely hard" over the next two to three weeks. He said that he would finish the job "very fast," without setting any timeline for ending the war. He pledged to "bring them [Iranians] back to the Stone Ages, where they belong.”

The relationship between Indigenous American nations and the colonizers and later settlers who arrived and established the United States is complicated.

Indigenous peoples were integral parts of the survival and success of early colonizers. The Haudenosaunee Confederacy's Great Law of Peace offered a blueprint for the United States Constitution and the structure of the federal government including the three independent branches offering checks and balances, ideally.

Racist Guy Caught On Video Tearing Through Iraqi Soccer Fans' Banner At Dallas Airport: 'Don't Come To America'

With the United States set to host the 2026 World Cup, a video out of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is drawing attention for a very different reason: showing a man ripping apart an Iraqi soccer fan’s banner and telling them, “Don’t come to America.”

The video, posted on Instagram, shows a group of Iraqi sports fans standing in an airport holding a banner with Arabic and Spanish writing. The fans were there to support Iraq during their World Cup qualifier against Bolivia, which resulted in a 2-1 upset victory earlier that day.
