Laura Ingraham Put On Blast After Mixing Up Two Black Women During Cringey On-Air Flub

The Fox News host apologized after "accidentally" mixing up Fani Wallis and Letitia James while railing against officials who have played a role in the various legal proceedings against Donald Trump.

Fox News personality Laura Ingraham apologized after "accidentally" mixing up Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and New York Attorney General Letitia James while railing against officials who have played a role in the various legal proceedings against President-elect Donald Trump.

James, the first woman and woman of color elected as New York Attorney General, filed a civil lawsuit against Trump, his adult sons, and the Trump Organization over allegations of financial fraud. A judge ultimately found evidence of fraud and ordered the defendants to pay millions of dollars in penalties.

Willis, the first woman to serve as Fulton County District Attorney, led the investigation and prosecution of Trump and 18 co-defendants in a sweeping indictment accusing them of conspiring to overturn the 2020 election results in Fulton County, Georgia.

The case faced several disruptions, including a separate inquiry into Willis’ relationship with prosecutor Nathan Wade. Proceedings were indefinitely paused prior to Trump’s election victory.

Speaking while an on-air graphic showed images of officials involved in the legal proceedings against Trump, Ingraham said:

“History is going to remember Jack Smith and Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis and the judges who let these cases get as far as they did as modern-day Keystone Cops, who chased Trump around, hounding him, trying to keep him off the campaign trail because they hated his agenda."
“They hate everything he stands for.”

However, the side-by-side graphic accompanying Ingraham’s comment showed Smith, Bragg and James instead of Willis. Both James and Willis are Black women.

Ingraham later issued the following statement acknowledging the error:

"Earlier in the ‘Angle,’ we accidentally showed a graphic that had a photo of another vicious anti-Trump figure, Letitia James, when we were talking about Fani Willis. So that was our mistake, but they both hate Trump.”

You can see the flub and Ingraham's "apology" in the video below.

Ingraham was swiftly called out—and many believe her "confusion" over the two Black women is simply some good ol' fashioned racism in action.

Wow, that apology just made L. Ingraham much more racist and pathetic then she already is. How do things like this fly right over their heads so easily over a FOX??? Saying the quite part out loud now...

One of the worst things about his return to office is that Ingraham and her ilk are emboldened to be even more hateful and racist.

She may have well just said, “they all look alike, whatever.”

Translation: "We made an embarrassing error that shows what total racists we are. But, I mean, so what?"

This is only the latest—very similar—misstep on Fox News' and Ingraham's record.

Earlier this year, during a segment on Ingraham’s show, a graphic intended to feature Willis alongside Nathan Wade, the aforementioned prosecutor who resigned from the Fulton County election interference case, mistakenly included a photo of another Black man: Terrence Bradley, Wade’s former law partner and divorce attorney.

At the time, Ingraham said the error "was obviously not intentional."

Similarly, in 2018, the network aired a tribute to Aretha Franklin that erroneously included an image of another Black singer, Patti LaBelle. The network later issued a statement saying it had intended "to honor the icon using a secondary image of her performing with Patti LaBelle in the full screen graphic, but the image of Ms. Franklin was obscured in that process, which we deeply regret.”

Most of us have been in a serious enough relationship that we had the chance to meet our partner's siblings, parents, and possibly other family members.

We can all attest to how nerve-wracking that moment was and the pressure we inevitably felt to impress our partner's family and try to "fit in."

Conservative Tries To Claim Disney+ Show Is Somehow Satanic Due To Joke—And Gets Instantly Fact-Checked

It's the holidays again, which of course means the yearly tradition of Christians having a meltdown about supposedly being persecuted by the existence of non-Jesusy Christmas stuff is back with a vengeance.

But the latest flap online is really a doozy in its audacity both because it's incredibly dumb and also a lie, obviously posted as a purposeful attempt to get attention.

Massachusetts Catholic Church Angers Conservatives With Its Brutal ICE-Themed Nativity Scene

The Christian Bible teaches that the Holy Family—Joseph, Mary, and Jesus—were residents of the Herodian ruled Nazareth, Galilee. Having traveled back to Joseph's ancestral home—Roman ruled Bethlehem, Judea—for the census, Mary and Joseph, in modern American parlance, would have been homeless immigrants/tourists having an "anchor baby" at the time of Jesus' birth.

While Joseph considered Galilee his immediate family's home, the trio would eventually flee to Egypt as refugees to escape from King Herod.
