Kristen Bell Just Asked Her Kids To Guess How Old She's Turning—And Their Answers Are Hilariously Brutal

It is considered impolite to ask a woman's age.

But chivalry didn't apply when Kristen Bell was the one who did the asking.

The Good Place actress just turned 39 and indulged in a guessing game with her two young daughters, Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 4, whom she shares with her husband, actor Dax Shepard.

She asked for it.

Bell filmed herself asking her girls:

"How old do you think I'm turning?"

The girls, who are obviously too young to comprehend the concept of time, answered with as much accuracy as other kids their age.

Nevertheless, their guess-timations felt like tiny daggers in mommy's loving heart, as evidenced by her facial reactions.

Delta, who is off-camera with her sister, thought long and hard.

"Six … fifty …," she said, verbalizing her thought process before arriving at her final answer:

"63."

Bell turned the question over to her eldest:

"How old do you think I'm turning, Link?"

After a prolonged pause, she declared:

"89."

How cute is that?

Making sure everyone had an equal guessing opportunity, Bell turned to Shepard, 44, and asked the same question.

The Without a Paddle actor diplomatically answered:

"I think a safe bet, somewhere in the middle of those two guesses, so … 71?"

Through giggles, Bell finally revealed to them she is 39.

She shared the video on Instagram where it got over 2,460,000 views.

She captioned her post:

"My kids are kind. I don't care if they cant do math."

Followers were charmed by the hilarious family interaction and also commented on her age-defying looks.

Shepard gave a special birthday shout-out to his wife on his Instagram page by sharing a video of the pair putting their sensitive palates through their paces with some overly spicy foods and burping and moaning through the painful process.

He captioned the post with:

"Happy Birthday Buddy!!! I've been with you on a third of your ride, and I hope I'm lucky enough to burp/throw-up/suffer/thrive with you for all the rest."

He added:

"Best Mom, best wife, best friend, longest story teller. You're everything to me and more."

After dating for six years the couple delayed tying the knot until the state of California legalized same-sex marriage.

The Supreme Court ruled section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) unconstitutional on June 26, 2013, prompting Bell to propose to Shepard on Twitter, to which he said, "yes." The pair married on October 16, 2013.

They welcomed Lincoln into the world in March 2013, followed by Delta in December 2014.

Happy birthday Kristen!
