Sports Writer Dragged After Shaming Hailee Steinfeld For Missing Husband's NFL Playoff Game To Present At Golden Globes

Online sports personality Dov Kleiman attempted to call out Sinners star Hailee Steinfeld for presenting at the Golden Globes on Sunday instead of being at the Buffalo Bills' playoff game to support her husband, quarterback Josh Allen—and nobody was having it.

It's 2026. Sometimes couples can't "be there" for each other because of a work obligation or an important opportunity. That doesn't mean they care less about their partner or their partner's dreams.

But sports writer Dov Kleiman, who urges X users to follow his account for the "best and most accurate NFL news," posted prior to the start of the NFL playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars, about a decision that quarterback Josh Allen and Sinners actress Hailee Steinfeld made regarding their attendance.

Like most adults, Steinfeld and Allen's work schedules sometimes clash, and they have to attend without their partner by their side. Despite this being the NFL playoffs, Hailee Steinfeld was unable to attend because she was already set to present at the 2026 Golden Globes.

Dov Kleiman tweeted:

"Yikes: Josh Allen's wife, Hailee Steinfeld, will reportedly NOT be attending her husband's playoff today against the Jaguars."
"Steinfeld will instead serve as a presenter at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles."
"She is receiving heavy criticism online for this."

Some immediately called Kleiman out for calling this "news" for which Steinfeld was "receiving heavy criticism."

X users were quick to clock the tweet, assuming this was coming from a sports commentator who failed to see how a person could prioritize anything over sports, especially since the average citizen regularly works at the same time as their spouse.

Others also pointed out that, if the situation were reversed, Allen wouldn't be ditching the playoff game, or any game for that matter, to attend the Golden Globes.

Surely, a football star wouldn't walk away from their team to attend their partner's work event, especially when there's a game scheduled, but an acting commitment or an important awards show shouldn't really be seen any differently. Both are work obligations, and sometimes, they're going to be scheduled for the same time in different places.

On January 11, the Bills beat the Jaguars in the NFL playoffs, 27 points to 24, while the Golden Globes seemingly went off without a hitch, including Steinfeld's stage presentation and her turning heads on the red carpet and premiering her baby bump in a sequined Prada dress. Sounds like the pair can be successful together or apart!

It would have been amazing if Allen and Steinfeld could attend together, but sometimes important events overlap, and they can always catch the next one.

Dem Rep. Hilariously Trolls Trump Official For Having No Idea How Solar Power Works In Viral Clip

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum was trolled by California Democratic Representative Jared Huffman after he, testifying before the House Natural Resources Committee, seemed to think solar panels are unreliable because they don't work when the sun goes down.

The sun produces heat and light through solar, or electromagnetic, radiation. Solar energy technologies capture that radiation and convert it into usable power. The two primary forms of solar technology are photovoltaics (PV) and concentrating solar-thermal power (CSP).
