Halle Berry Hilariously Shuts Down Ageist Troll Who Shamed Her For Posting A Nude Photo

The Oscar winner brushed off the rude comment by spouting off a factoid about shrimp.

Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Halle Berry does what she wants and loves herself unapologetically, which is why she posted an artful nude of herself online.

“I do what I wanna do,” wrote the 56-year-old actor and producer.

She added:

“Happy Saturday.”

The accompanying photo of her glistening in the setting sun while standing unclothed on a balcony and sipping on a glass of wine exuded natural beauty.

Fans were mesmerized by her photo.

One admirer commented:

“Looks like a cover from a romantic novel, one where a woman fell in love with herself wholeheartedly."

Glamour magazine concurred and said that Berry's au natural photo partially covering her privates was evocative of the romantic vibes beautifully captured in the 2003 film, Under the Tuscan Sun.

Unfortunately, one disgruntled user didn't see it that way at all and wrote an ageist comment shaming Berry for embracing her beauty at her age.

In a now-deleted tweet, the troll wrote:

“Imagine being in your 50s, still posting nudes for attention in menopause when you should be chilling with your grandkids."
“Aging with dignity is no longer a thing.”

Berry, however, brushed off the troll's unsolicited opinion with a comeback for the ages.

On Sunday, she quote-tweeted the judgy post with a bit of trivia, writing:

“Did you guys know the heart of a shrimp is located in its head?”

In response, Broadway actor Audra McDonald gave a standing ovation and wrote:

“You won the internet today with this clap back.”

The majority of the comments remained positive, with many users praising her for doing what she wants to do.

Posting nudes is nothing new for Berry.

On March 22, she posted a couple of steamy selfies in front of a fogged-up mirror after a shower.

She captioned her post with:

"hump day self love."

When it comes to aging, the Monster's Ball actress is not fazed by the stigma and shows no signs of slowing down.

“Now, in my 50s, I’ve got my babies, my career, and finally have love in a real, meaningful way," she said in a January 27, 2022 interview with AARP.

"For the first time in my life, everything is firing on all cylinders.”

Berry started getting romantically involved with Grammy-winning musician Van Hunt following her divorce from French actor Olivier Martinez in 2015.

She has two kids–a daughter Nahla, whom she had with her ex Gabriel Aubry; and a son, Maceo, whose father is Martinez.

Berry also shared her acceptance of the irreversible effects of getting older and embracing beauty from within.

“We’re all going to get older. Our skin is going to shrivel up and we’re going to look different."
"I see things changing with my face and body, but I’ve never put all my eggs in that basket."
"I’ve always known that beauty is deeper than the physical body you’re walking around in.”

She continued:

“I refuse to become someone who just tries to hold on to a youthful face and not embrace what’s most important about being beautiful—how you live your life, how you give back to others, how you connect to people, how you strengthen your mind, body, and soul and nourish yourself, how you give in a meaningful way of yourself."
"The most beautiful people have something radiating inside.”

Berry closed out by challenging socialized views on women and aging.

“Women are told that when we reach a certain number, we’re no longer valuable."
“I believe the opposite. Society should look at us as jewels as we get older. Because the older women get, the more formidable we are.”

MTG has promoted some antisemitic conspiracy theories in the past, like Jewish space lasers that control the weather or start wildfires, but this time people are calling Cruz out for reaching in an attempt to discredit the Georgia Republican and protect Trump from what's being concealed in FBI, Department of Justice, and court records relating to the indictment of Jeffrey Epstein on charges of sex trafficking of minors.
