Sara Ramirez first made TV history and cemented LGBT icon status with the role of Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy. In the shows fifth season, Torres struggles with coming out to her father as bisexual and the aftermath of that decision.

Ramirez's skillful and compassionate handling of that role earned accolades from all over, including nods from the NAACP and ALMA and a win from the Screen Actors Guild. More importantly, it showed millions of the show's fans that bi-sexual characters, and people, could be loved and accepted.

Callie Torres coming out laid a sort of groundwork for bi-sexual representation in media - something that has long been an issue. Bi-sexuals have historically been boxed as either gay or straight, not just as characters but as humans. Even Freddy Mercury, who literally wrote a whole song about wanting to live as a proud bi-sexual man, is thought of and celebrated as gay more often than not.

Following the Pulse massacre, Ramirez decided to start letting fans in on a more personal level and came out as queer and bi. The move shocked some fans as Ramirez had been married to husband, Ryan Debolt, since 2012.

As time has passed, Ramirez has proven to be a powerful voice and advocate within the LGBT community - so it's not really a surprise that a recent Instagram post has been met with a ton of love and celebration for Sara.

Ramirez has opened up the curtain a bit more and as finally said aloud what many have suspected for years - yes, they are nonbinary.

The caption reads:

"New profile pic. In me is the capacity to be: Girlish boy, Boyish girl, Boyish boy, Girlish girl, All, Neither."

Sara has rocked a more androgynous look since 2016 when they donated their long thick hair to an organization that makes wigs for children with medical hair loss. As the hair grew back, Sara kept it short - often embracing more "masculine" fashion.

This post, which finally comes outright and says it, isn't the first time Sara has given a nod to fans and followers about being non-binary. They changed their pronouns to she/they on social media a while back. Several weeks ago, Sara posted a selfie and used the following trio of hashtags:

#TheStory #HerStory #HxStory

Just last week Sara put up a post celebrating Bugs Bunny as non-binary representation and pointing out that several of the USPS Bugs Bunny stamps feature Bugs serving up femme fashion.

Sara's coming out post has well over 220k likes on Instagram and a comments section full of love. Twitter showered the star with love and praise as well.

Oh, and today (8/31) happens to be their birthday so Twitter is showering them with all kinds of extra love. Celebrating a birthday fully and publicly (we're sure their inner circle absolutely knew about this ages ago) embracing who you are is a powerful thing.

So congrats and happy birthday, Sara! We love you.

Philly Woman Goes Viral With Her Totally Chill Reaction To Her Car Being Completely Frozen In Ice

While the Northeast battled winter weather, the internet was captivated by a Philly-based TikToker documenting how her car turned into what she jokingly described as a Snowmaggedon popsicle.

Last week, Tianna Graham shoveled out her 2016 Honda Civic and drove out after a snowstorm, took it to work, and parked it in the same spot she’d left it before: next to a water main. By the time she returned, her vehicle was completely encased in ice on the 1000 block of North Front Street in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood.

When a person becomes a parent, much more will change in their life than they anticipated.

But that transition can be especially hard when a person feels like they're losing themselves to their role as a mom or dad—and that feeling is made even worse when their partner hyper-fixates on their new role.
