The same day he falsely claimed his father had won the crucial state of Pennsylvania in the 2020 election, Eric Trump was also roasted on Wednesday for once again promulgating false claims of widespread voter fraud.
For months, President Donald Trump and his allies have sought to undermine the legitimacy of the 2020 election in preparation for a victory from Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
Eric Trump continued that work when he tweeted a video of someone supposedly burning 80 Trump ballots in Virginia Beach.

The now-deleted video shows a man with a plastic bag brimming with what appear to be ballots. He douses the bag in a flammable liquid and sets it ablaze, claiming the ballots were for Trump.
But officials in Virginia Beach smacked down that claim in a single tweet.
Those were sample ballots. Addressed this yesterday. https://t.co/yprxQ7Icqn.

The City of Virginia Beach's Twitter account linked to an article, debunking the video:
"Video showing someone burning ballots â A concerned citizen shared a video with us that ostensibly shows someone burning ballots. They are NOT official ballots, they are sample ballots."
It also provided screen shots showing that these were sample ballots, not actual ballots.
People roasted Eric Trump for once again spreading false information.
This is False. Local officials in Virginia Beach said they have investigated the video and determined that the ballots shown were sample ballots, not official ballots. https://t.co/pNZyAWab4CÂ https://t.co/0NCqCslghD

Rofl y'all tried. We don't need to burn ballots here in Virginia Beach for your daddy to lose our support, daddy's boy.

He is a true Trump, if you catch him in a lie he will just tell it again.

The Trump campaign's false claims of voter fraud are under more scrutiny than ever.

Trump is claiming that voter fraud has occurred only in States that Biden has won. You can't make this stuff up đ#ElectionResults2020Â pic.twitter.com/Pmfhd4akE0

Potentially the most important factor when the dust settles is what a disaster Trump's strategy to campaign against mail-in voting and claiming voter fraud. It motivated Democrats to get ballots, vote by mail and get them in early. It's the difference in this race.

The winner of the election is yet to be determined, but the odds remain in Biden's favor.
