In Milwaukee, a drunk young man illegally entered a home. He proceeded to pass out.

When he awoke, he was handcuffed and surrounded by sheriff's deputies who happened to be staying at the house that is also an Airbnb.

The incident was shared by Deputy Charles Pesola to his TikTok and Instagram accounts.

According to the video, Pesola and the other deputies from Montana's Flathead County were in town for a training.

They were staying at the rental, when they heard crashing upstairs at around 2:30am. Initially, Pesola thought it was one of the other deputies.

However, they found the back door open and searched the house. It was then they found a 19-year-old, drunkenly passed out in a bed in the house.

As Deputy Pesola joked about it:

"This silly guy found the one Airbnb in all of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, loaded with cops. He woke up in handcuffs."

Local News WISN interviewed the deputies to find out more details.

According to the deputies, the drunk man had no idea where he was. The teen also said this is the first time he's woken up in a random place.

Pesola claimed the teenager was lucky he ran into police, who know how to handle the situation.

He told WISN:

"What if that dude stumbled into a bed with a kid? Or my wife? I mean, it could have been a different morning, right?"
"So wrong place, wrong time—lucky place, lucky time that there's dudes that actually know how to handle that."

Pesola said he turned the incident into a TikTok video because he likes to show the community another side of law enforcement.

He said:

"Cops have a hard time right now, and when they can see we're still having fun and still real people and we're good, it's a good thing."

However, not everyone was so enthused with the deputies. It was quickly pointed out there is a well documented disparity between how a White suspect is treated versus a person of color.

To that end, many pointed out how different things might have been if the drunk teen was not White.

The drunk man was handed over to the local Milwaukee authorities.

He was ultimately not charged or cited.
