On the evening of Tuesday, December 15, Don Lemon went viral for his frustrated dismissal of Kayleigh McEnany's incessant lies from the White House podium.

After McEnany refused to respond to questions about whether President Trump would acknowledge Joe Biden as the President-elect following his official win in the Electoral College, Lemon cut himself off mid-sentence to say:

"Girl, bye."

The clip quickly spread around Twitter, where users loved that Lemon was giving McEnany's lies the sass they deserved.

Lemon went on to criticize McEnany for her attacks on the media, mentioning that she used to be one of his colleagues at CNN.

"Talks about what the media is doing, criticizes the media, 'This is what you should be covering.'"
"I think we got this. You used to sit here on the set with us, I think we got it. When you sat here with us you thought we had it. You were happy to be here but now we don't know what we're doing? Girl, bye."

Many people online felt exactly like Don Lemon did in that moment.

During that same Press Conference on Tuesday the 15th, McEnany claimed the media had been distributing "Russian disinformation" instead of covering the stories that mattered in the lead-up to the 2020 elections.

CNN's Jim Acosta asked in response:

"Is it hypocritical to accuse others of spreading disinformation when you spread it every day?"

Like both of Donald Trump's former Press Secretaries, Kayleigh McEnany quickly developed a reputation for dishonesty in the service of the President.

One thing seems pretty certain: Don Lemon is looking forward to January.

President Donald Trump sparked criticism after claiming during an interview with ABC News’ Terry Moran that an edited photo depicting tattoos of wrongly-deported Maryland father Kilmar Abrego Garcia showed that he has an alleged connection to the MS-13 gang.

Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who arrived in the U.S. in 2012, was labeled a threat in 2019 due to an alleged connection to MS-13. He spent months in detention before an immigration judge found he had a credible fear of persecution—not from MS-13, but from a rival group, Barrio 18, which he said had been extorting his family.

Leavitt Lashes Out At Amazon Over 'Hostile' Plan To Display Added Tariff Costs For Products On Website

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt lashed out at Amazon over news that the commerce giant planned to display increased "import charges" on items on their Amazon Haul website, essentially showing to customers the extra money they'd have to shell out as a result of President Donald Trump's tariffs.

Trump has escalated a growing trade war by imposing tariffs of up to 145% on Chinese imports, prompting China to retaliate with its own 125% tariffs on American goods. Additionally, the U.S. has slapped a 10% tax on imports from most other countries, while temporarily suspending higher rates for several nations for 90 days.
