Radio DJ Reveals The Slick Way Those Call-In Radio Contests Actually Work In Viral TikTok Video

Have you ever wondered why it's so difficult to win a radio station giveaway...or why the lucky caller is always so excited over even the most ridiculous of prizes?

Well, ponder no more, my friends, because ayeeedubb just laid it out for us on TikTok.

In a video posted last week, the radio personality out of North Carolina gave the TikTok world a play-by-play chronicling the process from the moment we hear the DJ tell us to call in for a chance to win through the moment we hear caller number x passionately tell us his or her favorite radio station in all the land.

In her video, ayeeedubb takes callers in real-time while words flash across the screen.

First, we see the words, "how radio contests really work," followed by "This is a live talk break executing the contest."

In the video, she can be heard saying:

"So I need caller number nine right now to win. So call me up at 1-800..."

She shows us that only four lines are blinking then shares:

"After that plays, people do call up..."
"You see there's not nine callers, so this is what I gotta do."

Ayeeedubb goes on to answer those four callers:

"Caller number one, try again... Caller number two, try again..."

The words "until we get the 9th caller" flash across the screen.

She proceeds to walk us through the recording process, noting how callers can often be difficult to understand. After a bit of editing, the final cut is ready to go on air.

"Then we add a little bit of editing magic, and this is what it sounds like in your car."

You can watch the video below which includes the edited recording.

Ayeedubb's video ends with the words, "Essentially I'm playing a recording but LIVE on air lol."

Fellow TikTokers were nothing short of entertained.

Gavin Newsom Just Epically Trolled JD Vance Over Tariffs With An AI Video About Couches

California Governor Gavin Newsom mocked Vice President JD Vance—and his love of couches—with an AI-generated video to troll him over the rising costs of goods due to President Donald Trump's retaliatory tariffs.

Earlier this week, Trump announced new tariffs: 10% on softwood timber and lumber, and 25% on “certain upholstered wooden products,” set to take effect October 14. The move follows Trump’s announcement last week of additional tariffs on kitchen cabinets, vanities, and other upholstered products, which will take effect October 1.
