Dennis Quaid Reveals He's A Trump Supporter In Mind-Numbing Interview With Piers Morgan

Actor Dennis Quaid appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and revealed he plans to vote for former President Donald Trump in November's election, adding that "people might call [Trump] an a**hole, but he's my a**hole."

Quaid said Trump's ongoing hush money trial in New York should not hurt his electoral chances, dismissing the case as an attack against a former president he believes “is working for the American people.”

He said:

“I think I’m gonna vote for him in the next election. Yes, I am.”

“It just makes sense. I was ready not to vote for Trump until what I saw is, more than politics, I see a weaponization of our justice system and a challenge to our Constitution that, us as Americans, I don’t think we’re going to have [in the future].” ...

“You know, Trump is the most investigated person probably in the history of the world and they haven’t been able to really get him on anything. In fact, what is the crime? I still can’t figure it out.”

“People might call him an asshole, but he’s my asshole."

Quaid was harshly criticized.

Quaid went on to say that he genuinely believes Trump to be a “true and sincere” man. He argued that President Joe Biden, who is set to face Trump in a series of debates this summer, is too incompetent for another term and only “says things to get votes.”

He admitted that in 2016 and 2020, he found "myself going, ‘Please don’t do that, please don’t say that," in response to many of Trump's actions and behaviors. However, he said that as president, "the only thing I liked about Trump was everything he did.”

He suggested Trump had taken a strong stance against North Korea and China in addition to having successfully "defeated ISIS in three weeks."
