While the MCU star admitted that 'Thor: Love And Thunder' was 'too silly,' he took personal offense to the notion that Marvel movies aren't 'cinema.'

When big-name critics slam the integrity of Marvel movies, fans aren't the only ones who are hit hard in the feels.

Even the almighty Thor takes the scrutiny to heart, especially when it comes from his heroes.

Recently, Thor star Chris Hemsworth opened up to GQ about criticism of Marvel movies by filmmakers including Martin Scorsese—who likened Marvel films to "theme park rides"—and Quentin Tarantino, who made the claim Marvel actors are "not movie stars" and only the characters they portray are famous.

Hemsworth expressed his dismay:

“That’s super depressing when I hear that."
“There goes two of my heroes I won’t work with. I guess they’re not a fan of me."

The Avenger went on to share his distaste for inner-industry criticism.

“I don’t love when we start scrutinizing each other when there’s so much fragility in the business and in this space of the arts as it is…"
"I say that less to the directors who made those comments, who are all, by the way, still my heroes, and in a heartbeat I would leap to work with any of them."
"But I say it more to the broader opinion around that topic.”

While a few on social media agreed with Scorsese and Tarantino's stance...

Others agree with Hemsworth that the criticism is unnecessary.

Regardless of the criticism, though, Hemsworth is grateful to have a part in both the Marvel universe and in keeping fans going to the movies.

“I’m thankful that I have been a part of something that kept people in cinemas."

As are we.

Florida Meteorologist Warns How DOGE Cuts Will Affect His Ability To Predict Hurricanes In On-Air Rant

John Morales, a WTVJ meteorologist, went viral for warning viewers about how cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and National Weather Service (NWS) will compromise his ability to accurately predict and track Florida hurricanes—to say nothing of forecasts nationwide.

Morales said the overall quality of weather forecasts across the country is already “becoming degraded” due to recent budget cuts by billionaire Elon Musk's advisory Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and cautioned that hurricane forecasting will likely be the next casualty.
