GOP Group Slams Trump as ‘Not Better than AOC’ and AOC Had the Perfect Response

On Tuesday night, outgoing President Donald Trump upended months of congressional negotiations regarding the long-awaited COVID-19 relief bill passed by Congress this week.

Democrats have slammed the bill as insufficient, with the Republican-led Senate only agreeing to a round of 600 dollars in direct relief to Americans, instead of the 1200 dollars passed earlier this year.

On that point, Trump agrees with them.

Between lies about the 2020 election, Trump signaled in the video that he'd veto the bill unless Congress passed a bill with two thousand dollars in direct relief.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) called Trump's bluff and immediately set into motion legislation that would amend all mentions of a 600 dollar check to two thousand dollars, putting Senate Republicans—led by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)—in the unenviable position of denying expanded relief to Americans ahead of two crucial runoff races in Georgia.

Some Republican groups are pushing back against Trump's call for two thousand dollars in relief.

Washington Post reporter Jeff Stein quoted an unnamed official from Freedomworks—the far-right Tea Party Republican group—who said:

"Trump is surrendering the argument on universal basic income ... You are not better than AOC right now"

The official was referring to Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), whose progressive calls for a green new deal, Medicare for all, and universal basic income have made her a favorite target of the right.

Ocasio-Cortez, famous for her Twitter clapbacks, threw shade in response.

Ocasio-Cortez agreed that Trump "definitely isn't better" than her, and Twitter users did as well.

Meanwhile, Democrats are calling on McConnell to acquiesce to Trump's calls for more money.

House Democrats are preparing to pass legislation allowing for two thousand dollar checks on Thursday.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is facing criticism from Second Amendment supporters after her claim following the murder of Alex Pretti at the hands of ICE agents that she "doesn't know of any peaceful protester that shows up with a gun and ammunition rather than a sign" caught their attention.

Calls for an investigation have intensified from across the political spectrum after analysis of multiple videos showed ICE officers removing a handgun from Pretti—whom authorities said was permitted to carry but was not handling—before fatally shooting him.

Philly Woman Goes Viral With Her Totally Chill Reaction To Her Car Being Completely Frozen In Ice

While the Northeast battled winter weather, the internet was captivated by a Philly-based TikToker documenting how her car turned into what she jokingly described as a Snowmaggedon popsicle.

Last week, Tianna Graham shoveled out her 2016 Honda Civic and drove out after a snowstorm, took it to work, and parked it in the same spot she’d left it before: next to a water main. By the time she returned, her vehicle was completely encased in ice on the 1000 block of North Front Street in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood.

Dad Sparks Heated Debate After 'Nice Note' He Left For Wife And Kids Before Work Trip Sets Her Off

When a person becomes a parent, much more will change in their life than they anticipated.

But that transition can be especially hard when a person feels like they're losing themselves to their role as a mom or dad—and that feeling is made even worse when their partner hyper-fixates on their new role.
