Marvel has spent years building storylines and fan bases for a variety of their characters. We've gotten to know Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Dr. Strange, Hawkeye, and Captain America, among many others.
The culmination of all of this hard work has been the Avengers franchise. With the release of Avengers: Infinity War, news came that Chris Evan's would be putting down his shield and ending his run as Captain America with the release of the upcoming Avengers: Endgame.
And just recently, it was reported that another OG Marvel Cinematic Universe star will be leaving the franchise after Avengers: Endgame as well:
Gwyneth Paltrow has played Iron Man's right-hand-woman, Pepper Potts, for a decade now.
She explained to Variety...
"I mean, I'm a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point."
She went on...
"I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it...It was such a wonderful experience making the first 'Iron Man' and then to watch how important it has become to the fans."
People had some serious feels about this.
Others had hopes about what this meant for Pepper's fate in Avengers: Endgame.
We can only hope for a happy ending like that. We'll just have to wait and see.
