PHOTOS: Teen Takes Family's 'Elf on the Shelf' to the Next Level

One family's "Elf on the Shelf" tradition took an extreme turn when their teenage daughter volunteered to take on the task of controlling the family's three elves.

For those unfamiliar with "Elf on the Shelf," parents place stuffed elves strategically around their house while their kids are asleep, changing how the elves are set up each night, and the elves supposedly report back to Santa with any naughty things they catch the kids doing. Think Big Brother, but jollier.

18-year-old Alexis Elliott of Ohio offered to help continue the tradition when her parents ran out of clever ways to set up their elves. According to an interview with BuzzFeed, Alexis' parents had set up the three elves, named Buddy, Simon, and Timmy, for the past several years because "everyone just gets a kick out of it."

"It's funny to see the kids' reactions," Alexis' mom added.

And since the family tends to lean toward the "naughty" list, Alexis had no trouble finding things for Buddy, Simon, and Timmy to critique her siblings on.

For her brother Britton, Simon the elf got in his case about his drinking problem:

Let's take a closer look at that note:

For sister Jordan, Timmy the elf didn't like some of her language on Twitter (or her running after her brother with a big knife):

And finally, for brother Jayden, Buddy the elf needed to address a bit of an oral hygiene issue:

Alexis posted the photos on Twitter with the caption: "My parents let me do our elf on the shelf last night for my siblings and all I gotta say is this elf doesn’t play around lmaoo"

Twitter definitely enjoyed the clever roasting:

And, thankfully for Alexis, her parents got a kick out of the notes too. "We were dying," Alexis' mom said, while her dad "thought it was awesome."

Sadly, the notes aren't really that off-the-mark, with her mom acknowledging that, "Yes, unfortunately" the accusations are "true," although perhaps they were a bit exaggerated.

And while Alexis' dad might try to top her notes next year, it'll definitely be a challenge. But he does have a bit a of a leg up in one regard. "Since they're my children I have a lot of information," he noted. "I can dig up stuff from the past."

We can't wait.

Michael Jackson Fans Called Out Over Their Deranged Reaction To Paris Jackson Talking About Her Late Dad

Paris Jackson is no stranger to public scrutiny—but this time, the backlash isn’t about her. It’s about fans of her late father, Michael Jackson, and the increasingly unhinged way they’re responding to her simply speaking about him.

It all started when Entertainment Tonight shared a red carpet interview from the Vanity Fair Vanities party, where Jackson was asked about the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic. The film stars her cousin, Jaafar Jackson, as the King of Pop, with Colman Domingo portraying family patriarch Joe Jackson.

Riley Gaines Ripped For Bonkers Attempt To Discredit Tim Walz After He Condemns Trump's Genocidal Threat To Iran

Former NCAA swimmer and current transphobic conservative darling Riley Gaines was criticized for a desperate attempt to discredit Minnesota Governor Tim Walz after he condemned President Donald Trump's genocidal threat to kill the "whole civilization" of Iran.

Trump has insisted that God supports his war on Iran and declared—before a provisional ceasefire was announced—that "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again" ahead of a deadline to bomb Iran’s power plants and bridges that legal scholars and world leaders have said would constitute war crimes.
