The actor revealed to Jimmy Fallon how a makeup artist on The Brutalist assumed that his nose was a prosthetic, which led to an awkward moment on set.

We all mess up at our jobs sometimes. We might send the wrong document, forget to mop the back floor, try to erase a famous actor's iconic nose with a solvent.

The last one might just be one person's problem. During production of Adrien Brody's film The Brutalist, a crew member mistook the Oscar winner's nose for a prosthetic.

Jimmy Fallon inquired during Brody's recent interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon about the use of prosthetics in the film, which is up for 10 prizes at the 97th Oscars in March.

Brody, 51, described the mistake.

"They did apply a lot of — they had to do a prosthetic procedure. It's funny, everyone's very busy, it's a movie with a lot of moving pieces and so I had a new team of people who I had never met."
"They were removing this apparatus all over me and this woman was busily working away with a solvent on my nose."

Because the makeup artist was not familiar with what his face actually looked like, she just keep scrubbing, Brody said.

"She's just working away, and I said, 'Are you trying to remove that?...That doesn't come off,'' And then she says, 'Oh, I'm so sorry.' And then she goes, 'This is going in my diary.' "

Brody rose to fame with his portrayal of another, real-life Holocaust survivor in The Pianist, which netted him many awards, including youngest man to win an Oscar for Best Actor. He was 29 at the time.

Folks who saw the clip found it hilarious. Many people who had seen The Brutalist were surprised to learn that he wore prosthetics in the film.

Trump Dragged After Making Ridiculous Claim About Randomly Finding Billions On The 'Tariff Shelf'

President Donald Trump was criticized after he claimed to reporters this week that officials in his administration suddenly found $30 billion they "never knew existed"—located on what Trump referred to as the "tariff shelf."

Tariffs are a tax on imported goods, usually calculated as a percentage of the purchase price. While tariffs can shield domestic manufacturers by making foreign products more expensive, they are also used as a tool to penalize countries engaged in unfair trade practices, such as government subsidies or dumping goods below market value.
