Actor Amandla Stenberg shared a lengthy video on her Instagram stories to speak out about the negative comments she faced after the cancellation of the Disney+ 'Star Wars' series.

Amandla Stenberg is calling out the "rampage of vitriol" from alt-right viewers following The Acolyte's cancellation.

Stenberg, who played Mae/Osha in the Star Wars series, slammed the "targeted attack" in a nearly nine-minute video posted to her Instagram stories in which she shed light on the hateful comments she received before, during and after shooting the first and only season.

In her video, Stenberg first addressed the unwarranted hate:

“It’s not a huge shock for me [that it was canceled]."
"Of course, I live in the bubble of my own reality but for those who aren’t aware there has been a rampage of vitriol that we have faced since the show was even announced ... when it was still just a concept and no one had even seen it."
"That’s when we started experiencing a rampage of hyper-conservative bigotry and vitriol, prejudice, hatred, and hateful language towards us ... this really affected me when I first got the job because it’s just not something, even though I anticipated it happening, it’s not something you can fully understand what it feels like until it’s happening to you.”

She continued, expressing her gratitude for those who supported the show despite the pushback.

“It has been an incredible honor and dream for me to be in this universe ... And I just want to let those people know out there who supported us in that way, and supported us vocally in the face of all of the vitriol that we received, and the kind of the targeted attack I would say we received by the alt-right, just that you were deeply loved and appreciated, and it made this job all the worthwhile for me"

WARNING: NSFW language

Stenberg's comment sections of her Instagram posts have seemingly become breeding grounds for disgusting messages regarding both the cast and the show.

It's no wonder she'd had enough and called out the trolls in her video.

And others on social media commended Stenberg for doing so, and agreed with her take.

Some, however, still maintain that the show was cancelled for other reasons.

We really were looking forward to season 2.

AOC Saves The Day By Giving Bronx Middle School Group A Tour Of The Capitol Amid Shutdown

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had people cheering after she stepped in to act as tour guide after a group of middle schoolers from the Bronx pulled up to the Capitol hours after the U.S. government officially shut down.

The federal government shut down early Wednesday after the White House and Congress failed to reach an agreement on federal spending. While Senate Democrats are in the minority, they hold enough seats to filibuster and are insisting that Republicans agree to extend federal subsidies for people insured under the Affordable Care Act.

GOP Lawmaker Sparks Outrage After Calling For Dem Rep. To Be Executed For Urging People To Protest Trump

On Wednesday, September 25, an Arizona MAGA Republican state Representative publicly called for the execution of Washington Democratic Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal because she urged anyone displeased with MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's job performance to exercise their First Amendment right to free speech and to protest.

Apparently, urging citizens to make their voices heard was a step too far for Arizona state GOP Representative John Gillette, who responded to a clip edited out of a longer video by right-wing account The Patriot Oasis (TPO). A quick scan through Gillette's X account media posts will reveal his political leanings.

Liberal TikToker Mortified After Discovering That Her Therapist Is Hardcore MAGA

There used to be a time where politics did not have to come into every room or be a part of every conversation. But in a world with President Trump and MAGA, it's not as simple as being Red, Blue, or Green anymore.

Now, the sociopolitical climate is dangerous for many people and still very stress-inducing for others. It's important to surround ourselves with people who make us feel safe and seen—and unfortunately, that might mean cutting out people who have "different beliefs" than we do.
