It's usually not high on the list of professions you want to tell your parents if you end up becoming a stripper.

Stripping work is highly stigmatized--but very lucrative. In fact, law students have known to turn to stripping in order to pay their tuition costs: the work often racks up the tens of thousands of dollars needed for tuition in little to no time at all.

Still, telling your parents about it can be an event.

So why not make it one?

@lex1898 is WILD😩 Jokes aside our parents are the literal best, my mom said “I’m surprised how proud I am” 🥺😭😭 #hotgirlshit #getthatbagsis

TikTok user @lex1898 was captured by her sibling, user @mildwestsami, giving her parents a powerpoint presentation on her career.

"Before you start worrying, or get excited, this secret pertains to my life, doesn't affect anyone… what the secret does mean: I'm talented I'm cool I'm powerful. What the secret doesn't mean: I'm pregnant or in danger."

"I'm a stripper!" eventually the big reveal came, and on our protagonist went with her powerpoint.

She talked about stripping as a career, what exactly she did, and addressed safety concerns including whether or not she was pursuing other avenues of sex work.

The powerpoint, full of memes and fun photos of very buttoned up workers, finished with the woman taking a question and answer/comment and concern session from her parents.

Her father's only question?

"How much money are you making?"

Thankfully both of our protagonists' parents were loving and supportive. "It just adds more color to the flavor of the family," said her dad.

"I'm surprised how proud I am," said her mom.

We are glad their daughter seems to be doing so well in her new job.

The City Of Minneapolis Just Got Nominated For A Nobel Peace Prize—And Everyone's Thinking The Same Thing

President Donald Trump isn't going to be happy to know that the editors of The Nation have nominated the city of Minneapolis and its residents for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, citing the city's response to Trump's immigration crackdown that has captured the nation's attention since the murders of Renée Nicole Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of ICE agents.

In a statement addressed to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, the editors noted that "while individuals and organizations have been granted this prize since its inception in 1901, no municipality has ever been recognized."
