Woman Stunned After No One At Company Noticed She Wore Same Hawaiian Shirt For 264 Virtual Meetings

Woman Stunned After No One At Company Noticed She Wore Same Hawaiian Shirt For 264 Virtual Meetings
Inside Edition

As many people around the world adjusted to the new normal of videoconferencing during the pandemic, one woman attempted to bring levity to the situation by repeatedly wearing the same Hawaiian shirt.

But none of her online colleagues took notice.

The woman, known as "Jackie", told Inside Edition she wore the same shirt consecutively to 264 remote meetings between April 2, 2020, and June 16, 2021.

"I was like, wouldn't it be funny if I wore this shirt again? Like that'd be a funny joke and everyone would say something."

And when no one said anything, she remained determined.

"And then I thought, well, I'm going to keep doing this until someone notices, and no one ever noticed."

Jackie made a TikTok video showing a succession of screenshots of herself in her signature shirt on Zoom.

The video racked up over 32.2K likes, and fellow TikTokers also expressed their disbelief over her not being noticed.

Others pointed out this was indicative of a behavioral pattern many seem to be guilty of.

Jackie continued:

"I had some real ups and downs. Like the first month I was like, this is really funny. Then it'd be like, oh I'm still wearing this. And then it'd be funny again."

When she returned to work in person last week, she wore the shirt to see if it would elicit any reaction.

"I was like, so by the way, I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I've been wearing this shirt to every video meeting that we've had since last April. And they had no idea."
"They were like, 'That shirt?' I was like, 'Yes, this shirt that I'm wearing right now, yes.'"

Jackie posted another TikTok video showing "evidence" no one noticed her shirt.

yea, they didn’t notice I wore the same shirt to 264 meetings

She also told the Daily Mail:

"When I told my team that I had been wearing the same shirt, they didn't know what I was talking about. They hadn't noticed."
"The intern literally said, 'On purpose?' So, there's that."

However, Jackie got more attention for her shirt than she ever would have imagined when her fashion stunt made the news.

"You guys, what the heck. Why was I on TV for this?" she said, flabbergasted over the headlines.
