U.S. Open Fan's Awkward Moment In The Stands Goes Viral—And The Internet Is LOLing Hard

A fan in the stands of the U.S. Open was captured on television bringing a drink to the woman sitting next to him, only to have another guy behind him hand her a drink first.

You know the old saying: You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. But sometimes you miss 100% of the ones you DO take, if one particular US Open attendee is any indication.

A spectator at the annual tennis competition in New York City has gone wildly viral after seemingly taking a stab at love with his seatmate and getting subtly but brutally rebuffed—or at least beaten to the punch.

In the clip, the man is seen carrying two cocktails back to his seat at the recent match between Francis Tiafoe and Aleksandar Kovacevic.

When he gets there, it becomes clear that one of the cocktails was an attempt at striking up a conversation with the woman seated beside him.

The problem is, a man behind him appeared to have the exact same plan.

The two men can be seen arriving at their seats simultaneously, with the man in the row behind getting there just a moment sooner—just in time to hand his extra cocktail to the beautiful blonde woman first.

The man's face instantly registers disappointment and embarrassment with a subtle glance at his now superfluous cocktail. Even the woman sitting on the other side of him seems to register that he just got shot down and shot down hard.

As the US Open itself put it in an X post featuring the clip, "this is cinema." Who among us hasn't been there?

The clip quickly went viral on X because of how relatable it is, and many posted to give the man a bit of sympathy.

Guess this is one tennis match that did not end in a score of "love all." Better luck next time, sir, and keep the dream alive.

AOC Has Mic Drop Response To MAGA Republicans Who Try To Mock 'Democratic Priorities'

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez issued a powerful rebuke against President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, pointing out why mocking things like affordable housing and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as "Democrat priorities" ultimately hurts Republicans.

Ocasio-Cortez, speaking during a CNN town hall alongside Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders, accused Republicans of refusing to work to end the government shutdown, stressing that the country’s health care system could collapse if Republicans refuse to meet Democrats’ demands in negotiations.

GOP Rep. Blames Coordinated 'Ruse' After Swastika Image Is Seen Displayed In His Office

Ohio Republican Representative Dave Taylor demanded an investigation after a swastika image was found on display in his Washington, D.C., office, and blamed it on a "targeted" "ruse."

Politico obtained a photo from a virtual meeting showing a distorted image of the American flag—its red and white lines altered into the shape of a swastika— pinned to what appears to be a cubicle wall behind Angelo Elia, a staffer for Taylor. Beside it hung a pocket Constitution and a congressional calendar. Elia’s involvement in the incident, if any, remains unclear.
