Trump Instantly Roasted After Announcing Awkward Name Of New Military Fighter Jet

President Trump proudly announced that the military had named its new fighter jet the Boeing F-47—and critics were quick with the jokes.

Republican President Donald Trump proudly announced the new name honoring him for the military's new fighter jet, and the set-up for a joke couldn't have been more perfect.

“The generals picked the title," claimed the 47th President, adding, "and it’s a beautiful number, F-47.”

Trump spouted a familiar catchphrase when boasting that the fighter jet honoring him possessed attributes that were "something the likes of which nobody has seen before."

You can almost hear social media users giggling with glee.

Why? Well, the fighter jet's F-47 moniker spoke for itself.

Trump just named the new Air Force fighter jet F-47. Funny, I’ve been saying F-47 a lot recently.😎

The jokes kept writing themselves.

Like Trump, the F-47 will have no internal guidance systems. And a tiny cockpit.

Just like him the planes won't work.

Guaranteed to cost 10x the price and only perform a nose dive.

People were still skeptical of the full story.

Trump announced he awarded Boeing a $20 billion military contract to build the next generation of fighter jets for the U.S. Air Force despite the company having been plagued with myriad quality control and safety issues, including crashes, cracks in tankers, and a mid-air door plug blowout incident on January 5, 2024.

The President even criticized Boeing as recently as last month for its delayed delivery of new Air Force One jets.

The announcement also came after the current Lockheed Martin F-35 jets faced scrutiny as the program is projected to cost taxpayers over $2 trillion over its lifetime, according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), making it one of the most expensive weapons programs in U.S. history.

AG Pam Bondi's Brother Blames 'Rabid Partisans' After Getting Absolutely Walloped In DC Election

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump has often bragged about his overwhelming victory over Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming he won by a landslide. But while he did manage to finally win a popular vote in 2024, something he lost in 2016 and 2020, it was hardly a landslide.

About 90 million eligible, registered voters didn't bother to vote at all in 2024, while Trump garnered only ~77 million votes, VP Harris received about ~75 million—a difference of only ~2 million which is less than the population of Trump's hometown of Queens, New York City.

Kristi Noem's Past Views On National Guard Come Back To Bite Her After She Backs Trump Amid LA Protests

California Governor Gavin Newsom called out the hypocrisy of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after sharing a clip from last year showing she'd once criticized the Biden administration for considering deploying the National Guard when Democrats suggested it as a response to Texas' immigration crackdown at the time.

That's noteworthy because Noem has made an about-face, defending President Donald Trump's decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles amid ongoing protests in response to his administration's immigration raids by claiming he'd taken this drastic step "for the safety of this community ... to keep peace."
