Trump Gets Blunt Reminder Of His Own Past Fumbles After Accusing Biden Of Calling Him 'George'

Trump Gets Blunt Reminder Of His Own Past Fumbles After Accusing Biden Of Calling Him 'George'

On October 26, President Donald Trump tweeted Democratic candidate Joe Biden called him by the wrong name, heavily implying Biden wasn't mentally fit to be President.

The President was likely taking his cue from Fox News, which ran the story as if it were a major scandal.

Of course, the truth was the President's clip was deceptively edited to make it seem like he said the wrong name.

In truth, Biden was speaking with actor George Lopez and simply responding to a question.

Turns out George Lopez's name is George.

Biden got the name right, unlike when Trump called his wife "Melanie."

Biden's exact words were:

"This is the most consequential—not because I'm running, but because of who I'm running against—this is the most consequential election in a long, long, long time and the character of the country, in my view, is literally on the ballot."
"What kind of country are we going to be? Four more years of—George.... George—we are going to find ourselves in a position where if Trump gets elected, we're going to be in a different world."

Twitter felt they ought to remind President Trump he's been known to mess up a few names on occasion.

Who could forget Tim Apple?

Or Rick Gates?

Or Trump's own wife, Melanie?

Of course, this didn't stop other conservatives like the President's son from continuing to spread the misinformation.

But the internet's fact checkers sided firmly with Biden.

Very few people online seemed swayed by the President's misleading arguments.

As always, we should all be taking the claims of President Trump with a grain of salt.

The Trump campaign seems focused on Biden's age being a disqualifying factor for holding political office. Donald Trump is only 3 1/2 years younger and Mitch McConnell is 9 months older than Joe Biden.
