Actor Tim Allen is being heavily criticized on Twitter after an interview with Marc Maron in which he said he "kind of liked" that former President Donald Trump made people angry.

Allen, who described himself as a "fiscal conservative" to Maron and attended Donald Trump's 2017 inauguration, told the WTF host:

"I literally don't preach anything."
"What I've done is just not joined into, as I call it, the 'we culture. I'm not telling anybody else how to live. I don't like that, 'we should do this' or, 'we should do that.'"
"Once I realized that the last President pissed people off, I kind of liked that. So it was fun to just not say anything. Didn't join in the lynching crowd."

Allen previously compared being a conservative in Hollywood to living in 1930's "Nazi Germany."

Twitter was quick to denounce Allen, who seemed to support President Trump simply because he made other people angry.

Competence and qualifications are overrated apparently.

The comedian and actor was also close with the Clintons during the 90's, though he has become well-known in recent years for his conservative politics.

It's never a good sign when a comedian is the subject of jokes instead of the one telling jokes.

Though President Trump was voted out of office by over 7 million people, it seems some celebrities are still willing to harm their careers by offering him their support.
