TikToker Stunned After Tinder Date Invites Her Home To Watch Him Play Golf For Three Hours

First dates are awkward.

Even if they're awesome, they're awkward. The butterflies are fun because they're new and uncomfortable - ideally in a good way.

Ideally.

New plus uncomfortable doesn't always equal butterflies, though. Sometimes that math just adds up to awkward ... and a newly acquired hatred for golf. People would absolutely understand if TikTok user @taypole has a "thing" about golf after meeting a recent Tinder match.

The app, originally used for quick hook ups by people who weren't really looking for relationships, has sort of grown into a grey area. Is it a dating app? Hook up app? Weird story writing prompt generator?

That grey area means Tinder users need to be clear what they're looking for in order to avoid awkward encounters where the people meeting have very different ideas on what's about to happen. It might have avoided ... whatever you'd call this.

According to our TikTok heroine, things with this Tinder match seemed completely normal right up until they got back to his place.

We don't know if she was there for a date or a quick hookup, but she didn't get either one. Instead, she got 3 hours of sitting on the couch being ignored while her date *checks notes* practiced his golf putt.

We don't know names, so let's call her "Tay" and him "Tinder Woods" - because it's too perfect not to.

Tinder Woods over here had apparently just gotten a brand new practice putting green and couldn't wait to use it.

Like really couldn't wait.

Tinder ain’t what it used to be #tigerwoods #masters2022champion

Since he couldn't wait to play with it, he made his Tinder match wait on him instead. Whatever the pairs original plan was, it went out the window as soon as they got to his place and he got his hands on some (golf) balls. Tay's video shows her sitting on the couch looking bored and confused as her date ignores her, fully focused on his balls.

He's been at it for a while, from the looks of things - his shoulders are hunched forward, his head is down, he literally doesn't even look up at her during the video.

He does, however, vacuum the green.

Those zero pedestrians, no other players, lack of exposure to the elements, and fully enclosed and controlled area that's totally devoid of wildlife really do a number on your hours-old fake grass, we guess?

TikTok is just as lost as she is; but enjoying a good laugh cause for once it's not them!

Amazingly, this wasn't the end of the story for this not-at-all dynamic duo.

Figuring maybe he was just nervous, or overly excited for a new toy, she gave him another chance. According to her, he's actually very funny, smart, and cute! So she said yes to a second date.

He took her to a chip and putt range to practice his golf swing.

We don't know if there will be a date 3 for Tinder Woods, as we're calling him, but we've got a pretty solid idea of what the pair will be doing if there is.

Honestly, it's not looking that bad for him. She has responded positively about him in the comments of the videos, so this clearly isn't a total deal-breaker for her.

Would this man have made it past date 1 with you? Would you have even made it through the whole first date being left to sit on a couch and watch someone putt for three hours? Have you ever dated someone with "1 personality trait" like this?

Trump Ripped After Forcing National Parks To Drop Free Entry On MLK Day And Juneteenth For Infuriating Reason

President Donald Trump was criticized after the National Park Service announced it will be dropping Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth for next year's calendar of free-entry days and adding Trump's birthday, which happens to fall on Flag Day, on June 14.

Last month, the Department of the Interior unveiled changes to what it now calls its “resident-only patriotic fee-free days,” expanding the calendar to include new dates like the Fourth of July weekend and President Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday, while dropping others that had honored the department itself, including the Bureau of Land Management’s anniversary.

California Democratic Representative Robert Garcia was elected in November 2022 and even before being sworn in, he was locking horns with one-time MAGA darling and Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

For years, MTG was best known as the QAnon conspiracy theory-spewing, State of the Union heckling, crossfit hyping, Trump ride-or-dying, anti-LGBTQ+ racist MAGA minion from Georgia.
