A TikToker was shocked when a promise ring she'd witnessed her ex purchase from Kay Jewelers was actually appraised as a fake when she brought it back at the end of the relationship.

The ring, beautiful as it was, did not fetch her any sum of money due to its appraisal.

Her confusion was shared by many others.

Kay Jewelers have attracted attention for some time for often swapping out their diamonds with cubic zirconium and raising the price to the price for normal diamonds, only to have the buyer try and return it and be stricken with the bad news.

In 2016, a woman paid $4,300 for a diamond ring only to find out the stone was moissonite, a cheaper material.

An Illinois woman in 2018 made the same claim against the jewelery chain store. Kay Jewelers attempted to send her the wrong ring and refused to track down the correct one.

Kay released a statement at the time.

“Our goal is to treat all customer concerns with a high level of integrity, seriousness, and care. Once we become aware of a customer complaint, we run it to ground until a resolution has been reached."
"We are continuously re-evaluating our policies and practices to ensure we are providing the highest levels of service at all points of the repair journey."
"Like all customer complaints, we have launched an investigation into this particular matter and remain in close contact with the customer in question as we work toward a resolution.”

Every kiss may begin with Kay, but heartbreak ends with it.

Trump Gives Mind-Numbing Reason For Why He Voted By Mail-In Ballot After Railing Against It

Although he regularly claims mail-in ballots are used by Democrats to rig elections, President Donald Trump was called out for voting by mail in Florida's election on Tuesday—and saying it's okay that he did it because he's the "president."

Palm Beach County records show that Trump cast a mail-in ballot earlier this week in the special election for Florida’s House District 87, the district that includes his Mar-a-Lago residence. He also voted by mail in the January primary for the same race.
