The national health crisis in the United States has taken the lives of nearly 100 thousand Americans and infected a 1 1/2 million more.

As a result of the high infection rate, state leaders across the country have heeded the advice of health experts and forbidden large gatherings.

Among these gatherings are the graduations of the high school and college seniors, whose academic year had already been cut short due to the virus.

Determined to still mark the momentous occasion safely, national and local leaders have been facilitating virtual celebrations.

You may have caught former President Barack Obama's commencement speech on major networks this past weekend. Beyoncé and Lizzo are set to appear with the Obamas at a similar event on YouTube next month.

The Republican Governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves, also attempted to congratulate Mississippi's graduates with a virtual ceremony—complete with a senior prank.

The laughable moment came as Reeves was reading the names of graduates—and one name stuck out.

Watch below.

Reeves read one of the submitted names:

"Harry Azcrac."

Mississippian Thomas DeMartini was reportedly the one behind the prank.

Even Tate Reeves acknowledged that the prank was a good one.

The internet soon joined in the laughter.

Some began invoking prank names of their own.

Brilliant.

Gavin Newsom Expertly Trolls Trump Administration With Parody Spirit Halloween Costume Memes

California Governor Gavin Newsom had social media users cackling after he, in a series of photos on X, mocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with photoshopped meme versions of Spirit Halloween costumes.

Noem, who has led the nationwide immigration crackdown that continues to tear apart families around the country, is the "Border Barbie" of one meme that pokes fun at her for shooting her dog, her penchant for bringing camera crews wherever she goes, and the way South Park writers lampooned her in one of its most widely-seen episodes this year.
