NBC admits they 'don't know what the heck is going to happen' after hiring the rapper as a 'special correspondent' for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

If you've been looking for another reason to get excited about the 2024 Paris Olympics, here's one: NBC recently announced that Snoop Dogg will be reporting on the games for the network—and the internet can hardly wait.

The rapper, entrepreneur and TV host can now add sports correspondent to his resume. But the network admits it has no idea "what the heck is going to happen" once the iconic rapper takes to both the NBC airwaves and its Peacock streaming platform.

Even Snoop's announcement video was decidedly different than the usual Olympics host fare, composed of Snoop jamming out to a hip hop beat in front of a picture of the Eiffel Tower.

NBC confirmed Snoop's gig during halftime on Sunday Night Football's recent game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings over the weekend.

He'll be providing both commentary on the sporting events as only he can, but also visiting iconic Parisian landmarks and interviewing Olympic athletes. So the opportunities for Snoop's distinctive brand of humor will be myriad.

In a statement announcing the partnership, Snoop's excitement about the forthcoming gig was palpable. He wrote:

“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication and the pursuit of greatness.”

He went on to reference to his most famous extracurricular activity, "herbal refreshments," if you will.

Let’s elevate, celebrate and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?”

We dig, Snoop. We definitely dig.

But as excited as Snoop appeared to be, it didn't hold a candle to the excitement shown by fans on the internet.

The 2024 Summer Olympic Games begin July 26, 2024.

People Who Smashed Wedding Cake In Their Spouse's Face Reveal How Their Relationship Is Going Now

According to The Knot wedding resource magazine and website, smashing cake into the face of a spouse after tying the knot is a tradition tied to medieval England. To celebrate the marriage, the bride would toss a piece of piece of cake over her shoulder for good luck.

This evolved into newlyweds feeding a piece of cake to one another, then taking frosting or a small bit of cake and rubbing it gently onto each other's faces—usually the cheek or tip of the nose.

The Obamas Just Shared A Rare Family Photo With Their Adult Daughters To Celebrate Sasha's Birthday

Former President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama warmed hearts when they shared the same photo to their respective social media accounts, showing them with their adult daughters, Sasha and Malia, to commemorate Sasha's 24th birthday.

Sasha Obama was born in June 2001, nearly eight years before the family moved into the White House at the start of her father's first term in January 2009. She and her older sister, Malia, now 26, spent their formative years in the presidential residence, growing up there throughout their father’s two terms, until the family departed in 2017.

Trump Dragged After Hilariously Flubbing Insult About Biden's Mental Acuity

The term malaphor means when two or more colloquial phrases or idioms get confused and combined to create something nonsensical. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), malaphors are a common symptom of frontotemporal dementia or other cognitive impairments.

So when a person seeks to accuse someone of being unintelligent, their use of malaphors is ironic and possibly very telling—narcissists will always accuse others of their own faults and failures.
