Subway Rider Attempts To Copy Kim Kardashian's Caution Tape Fashion Look—And It's Peak NYC

Kim Kardashian recently added to her distinguished list of eye-catching outfits when she arrived at Balenciaga's winter show in Paris.

The outfit in question saw the reality television star and fashion mogul arrive completely wrapped up in layers of caution tape, but with Balenciaga written in the trademark black letters over the yellow tape.

As evidenced by a video of her arrival at the event posted on Twitter, Kardashian effortlessly turned heads in her outfit, even if it clearly didn't make walking particularly easy.

Trend setter that she is, there were bound to be knock offs and/or imitations of Kardashian’s look.

And sure enough, passengers on the New York city subway recently bore witness to a woman making her own attempts to steal the show dressed completely in caution tape, like Kardashian.

Only this time, it was actual caution tape, not the custom made Balenciaga kind Kardashian wore.

The woman in question was captured in a video uploaded to the Instagram page "Subway Creatures."

WARNING: NSFW language

Unlike Kardashian, this brave fashionista didn't have her feet covered in tape as well, as evidenced by her black sneakers, but seemed to have as much or more trouble waking as she stumbled out of the subway car, much to the amusement and confusion of her fellow passengers.

The caption accompanying the post questioned whether or not this was an attempt to copy Kardashian's recent look, or if this was just one of the many things one experiences when riding the New York subway.

"Porbably doesn't have anything to do with @kimkardashian's Fashion Week Outfit."
"Just Tuesday in the subway."

The comments section of the video applauded this woman's attempt at carrying off what even Kardashian appeared to have trouble doing.

While at least one pointed out how unfazed some of the passengers on the subway car seemed to be, emphasizing how much it now takes to surprise New Yorkers.

The woman working the caution tape was eventually identified as comedian Robyn Schall.

Schall later shared her adventures through New York city wearing her self-made caution tape outfit on Instagram, in a video appropriately captioned "Caution! High fashion alert!".

Schall began the video by showing Kardashian arriving at the Paris Balenciaga show in her caution tape look before cutting to a close up of herself in her somewhat similar outfit.

Schall then shared her intention for wearing the unmissable ensemble.

"Kim K. wore a caution tape inspired Balenciaga outfit to one of their shows."
"So I wore a Balenciaga inspired caution tape outfit to one of their stores here in New York city."

The video then showed Schall doing her best to walk through the streets of New York, in spite of the limitations of the outfit.

Schall eventually arrived at the subway, where she seemed to have more trouble than usual sitting down.

The video then cut to Schall at a Dunkin', explaining Kim Kardashian was the inspiration behind her admittedly unusual attire.

While the Dunkin' employees didn't seem to know who Kardashian was, Schall was delighted they appeared to know who she was.

Schall then triumphantly arrived at Balenciaga's New York location, where everything on sale appeared ever so slightly out of her price range.

The video ended with Schall returning to the Subway, where she successfully managed to bust a move to a busker's music, even within the constraints of her outfit.

Schall's attire and her adventures through New York city were met with amusement and delight from her Instagram followers, with some even maintaining Schall pulled off the look better than Kardashian.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and it seemed Kardashian was extremely flattered by Schall's re-imagining of her look.

Kardashian shared Schall's video in an Instagram story, accompanied by a crying laughing emoji.

Maybe Schall and Kardashian can commiserate over how difficult it was to walk in their now iconic looks.

Hillary Clinton Just Threw Some Epic Shade At Trump Over His Push To Print $250 Bills Featuring His Portrait

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mocked President Donald Trump following a report he approved a proposed design featuring his portrait on a new $250 bill bearing his signature, despite longstanding federal law barring living people from appearing on U.S. currency.

According to four current and former Treasury Department employees who spoke to the Post anonymously out of fear of retaliation, two political appointees at the department—U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach and senior adviser Mike Brown—repeatedly pressed Bureau of Engraving and Printing staff beginning last year to develop prototype designs for the bill.
