Piers Morgan threw a tantrum upon learning that Lady Gaga was invited as a special guest on Monday for the World Health Organization's press conference concerning the pandemic crisis.

Lady Gaga – whose real name is Stefani Germanotta – helped raise $35 million for WHO in one week by reaching out to 68 corporate leaders "from some of the world's biggest and most generous companies" to help fight the pandemic.

Germanotta worked with Global Citizen, which is a movement of engaged citizens to help end world poverty, to raise funds that will go towards health care workers risking their lives in the fight against the novel virus while also benefiting local charities with food and shelter to those in need.

During the press conference, the bespectacled singer announced she teamed up with WHO and Hugh Evans – the CEO of Global Citizen – for The One World: #TogetherAtHome virtual concert series.

The broadcast will honor health workers on the front lines through live performances and will feature "real experiences from doctors, nurses and families around the world."

The event's impressive roster of artists curated by Lady Gaga includes Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, FINNEAS, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Kerry Washington, Lizzo, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and many others.

The event will air on Saturday, 18 April 2020.

But leave it to Piers Morgan – whose net worth is $20 million – to bellyache over the philanthropic celebration.

On Monday, the combative co-presenter of Good Morning Britain carped on the "Shallow" singer's appearance at the WHO conference by tweeting:

"Why? Has she found a cure? Otherwise, we don't need a bloody singer there."

The Little Monsters of Twitter – or Lady Gaga's fanbase – schooled Morgan on why he needs to sit back down and STFU.

Lady Gaga spoke about the upcoming The One World: #TogetherAtHome series and what she hopes to achieve.

"We want to highlight the gravity of this historical, unprecedented cultural movement … and we want to celebrate and encourage the power of the human spirit."
"I would like to send my prayers to people who are losing their jobs and having a hard time feeding themselves and their children."

The singer continued:

"We want to raise the money before we go on air. 'When we do go on air, put your wallets away, your credit cards away, and enjoy the show.

Many asked what contributions Morgan has made for the cause?

This Little Monster reminded the British journalist that Lady Gaga is more than just a "bloody singer."

At Monday's press conference, Germanotta expressed "deep gratitude" for the medical community.

"My heart is very achy and warm for those who are ER doctors as well as nurses who are sleeping in cars to make sure they don't infect their families or their patients."
"What you are doing is putting yourself in harm's way to help the world and we all salute you."

She continued:

"What's very important is three things happening for all of us. That we celebrate and we highlight the singular kind global community that is arising right now."
"Two, we want to highlight the gravity of this historical, unprecedented cultural movement. And three, we want to celebrate and encourage the power of the human spirit."

One World: Together At Home will stream online on multiple global platforms, including: Alibaba, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, LiveXLive, Tencent, Tencent Music Entertainment Group, TIDAL, TuneIn, Twitch, Twitter, Yahoo and YouTube.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has sparked outrage after the Pentagon announced it's investigating Arizona Democratic Senator Mark Kelly—a former U.S. Navy captain and astronaut—for "serious allegations of misconduct" after he joined five other members of Congress in a video reminding military members that they took an oath to obey the Constitution and can disobey illegal orders.

In a video message, Kelly, joined by a group of fellow veterans in Congress that included his colleagues Sen. Elissa Slotkin (Michigan) and Rep. GOP Rep. Claims MTG's Resignation Could Be The First Of Many In Eye-Opening Rant

Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene—once the conspiracy theory-spewing, QAnon-embracing apple of MAGA's eye—announced on Friday her intent to resign and retire from Congress effective January 5.

In the wake of her almost 10-minute video announcement, an anonymous senior House Republican said many others in the party have also grown sick of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump and his incompetent, petty, glory-hogging administration. They cite Christian nationalist Speaker Mike Johnson as his primary enabler.
