Soooo, he lied then?

President Donald Trump has frequently flummoxed Americans everywhere with his eagerness to tell lies that are easily disprovable.

It looks like he just put another notch in that belt.

While trying to defend his decision to shut down the government over border wall funding, the President said at a press conference on Friday that every other living President agreed with him—and that some even expressed regrets for not achieving it.

Trump said:

“This should have been done by all of the presidents that preceded me and they all know it. Some of them have told me that we should have done it.”

Watch below:

Many doubted the validity of the statement, and their instincts proved right when former President Jimmy Carter—echoing statements by former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton—that he never expressed any sentiment of the sort to Trump.

Carter said:

“I have not discussed the border wall with President Trump, and do not support him on the issue.”

Representatives for Clinton and Bush asserted that the former Presidents hadn't spoken to Trump on the issue either. As for former President Barack Obama, his representatives declined to comment, but his statements on the wall in the past speak for themselves. Additionally, he hadn't spoken to Trump since the current president's inauguration in 2017, save for a brief moment at the funeral of George H.W. Bush in December 2018.

Former Vice President Joe Biden had some thoughts on the matter.

And Twitter wasn't surprised.

Though they may not have been shocked, they were quick to roast the current occupant of the White House.

They didn't hold back.

The President has yet to comment and we have a sneaking feeling that he doesn't intend to. What's one more lie from the White House, right?

Little Girl Hilariously Figures Out How To Get Around Mom's 'No Bad Words' Rule—And We Gotta Respect It

We've all heard the advice that when you want to start a new habit, you have to give yourself time for that habit to "stick," and you also shouldn't try to take on too many new habits at once.

While the easy answer to that logic is that it would be too much change at once and too much "new" to remember, it also could take the fun out of the new practice.

Giant AI-Generated Christmas Mural Removed After People Notice Some Truly Unhinged Details

Though many of us are worried about the prevalence of AI and its potential to take away the jobs of professional writers, artists, and designers, one truly haunted Christmas mural proves that AI is not ready to take on the responsibility just yet.

Ample theories are available for how this unhinged mural came to be, but a favorite is that an upper executive didn't want to approve an art budget for this year's mural and suggested AI instead, so a designer planned the worst option possible. Or someone turned immediately to AI, barely checked their work, and just hit the "approve" button.

Brooke Shields Has Hilarious Reaction After She's Given Awkwardly Short Chair On 'Today' Show

People who have not performed in front of a live audience might assume that adequate rehearsal time and production planning ensure things will go smoothly.

But seasoned performers will tell you that mistakes happen, no matter how well-rehearsed or fine-tuned the project is. When the mistake is obvious enough that the audience becomes aware of it, the best thing to do is laugh it off or incorporate the mistake into the program as much as possible to keep the show going.
