Well played.

On May 18, 2019 Michigan Republican Representative Justin Amash tweeted a message many people waited to hear from a member of the GOP. Amash—who criticized President Donald Trump previously—stated the President "engaged in impeachable conduct." But Trump called it all a lie.

As expected, President Trump did not allow the post to go without a response. On Sunday, May 19, Trump tweeted a series of attacks against Amash. But his response was quickly questioned by his Twitter nemesis George Conway who said the lies were by Trump, not Amash or the Mueller investigation.

The President started the latest face-off with the spouse of his Counselor to the President, Kellyanne Conway, when he tweeted:

"Never a fan of [Representative Justin Amash], a total lightweight who opposes me and some of our great Republican ideas and policies just for the sake of getting his name out there through controversy. If he actually read the biased Mueller Report, “composed” by 18 Angry Dems who hated Trump, he would see that it was nevertheless strong on NO COLLUSION and, ultimately, NO OBSTRUCTION..."
"Anyway, how do you Obstruct when there is no crime and, in fact, the crimes were committed by the other side? Justin is a loser who sadly plays right into our opponents hands!"

About two hours later, George Conway—an attorney who once coordinated with Ken Starr on the investigation into President Bill Clinton—refuted Trump's facts. Conway accused Trump of lie after lie.

Conway tweeted:

"You never stop lying, do you?"
  • "strong on NO COLLUSION 👉LIE
  • and, ultimately, NO OBSTRUCTION 👉LIE
  • how do you Obstruct when there is no crime 👉LIE to suggest you couldn’t and didn’t
  • the crimes were committed by the other side 👉LIE
  • plays right into our opponents hands 👉you seem to oppose justice and the rule of law, so, at least on this one, TRUE"

Conway was far from alone in his assessment. Some took their fact-checking straight to the President's Twitter post and in some eye-catching ways.

Some remarked on the President's predictability.

Others weighed in on Conway's post.

While many questioned if Trump actually read the full Mueller report...

...as well as commenting on the President's propensity for lying or sharing "alternative facts."

While Amash made a case for impeachment, the power players within the House of Representatives and Senate have yet to endorse such proceedings. For now it is business as usual in Washington DC.

Mike Johnson Warns What Will Happen To Trump If Democrats Take The House—And Everyone Had The Same Response

On Tuesday, MAGA Republican President Donald Trump gave his State of the Union (SOTU) speech. The POTUS set a record for the length of his remarks at 1 hour and 48 minutes of lies, misinformation, half truths, and the use of people as props to garner sympathy, bolster his image, and feed his fragile ego.

The SOTU was described as overly long, out of touch, boring, and delusional.

Democrats Fire Back With Brutal Fact-Checks After Trump Claimed He 'Lifted' Millions Off Food Stamps

Democrats were quick to call out President Donald Trump after he boasted that he "lifted" 2.4 million Americans off food stamps, lying about the circumstances that led to people losing access to their benefits.
