Marvel Head Kevin Feige Roasted For Realizing Shooting Outdoors Is Better Than Green Screens

Kevin Feige has already brought audiences, through the Marvel Cinematic Universe, endless wonders. The adventures shared with us by screen for the past decade have been nothing short of fantastic, devastating, wonderful, and engaging.

But little did we know that Feige may have missed a really obvious keystone of filming, as a quote published in Variety revealed.

In speaking of Chloe Zhao, who recently won the Academy Award for Best Director, becoming the second ever woman to do so, Feige praised her camerawork on the upcoming The Eternals.

He was especially impressed she wanted to shoot in the actual outdoors, rather than on a soundstage with a green screen.

Feige's entire quote is really something else:

"And I had to keep saying, 'This is right out of a camera; there's no VFX work to this at all!'"
"Because it was a beautiful sunset, with perfect waves and mist coming up from the shore on this giant cliffside — really impressive stuff."

The fact that Zhao's choice to simply shoot outside is catching the laughter of many following the story.

Films have been a piece of the American zeitgest for the last 100 years, so the idea this is new information to a filmmaker is troubling at best.

One shrewd user invoked The Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat Station, one of the very first films ever shown to an audience, to poke fun at Feige's amazement with the use of real objects.

If you are a filmmaker looking for a sign you should continue in your career, and you know the outdoors exists, this is your sign to continue working in your field.

You, too, may be able to wow a major film executive in one of the most lucrative film franchises of all time.

Lauren Boebert In Hot Water After She's Busted Spending Campaign Funds On Kid Rock Concert Tickets

Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert is facing criticism after Federal Election Commission (FEC) records showed she spent over $3,300 of her campaign funds on concert tickets and a hotel in Texas on the same weekend her once-rumored boyfriend—MAGA singer Kid Rock—was performing.

Boebert’s campaign reported expenses for a hotel stay in Arlington, Texas, and for event tickets purchased in May. On May 16, Boebert attended the Rock N Rodeo — part of the Professional Bull Riding Championship World Finals at AT&T Stadium — an event hosted by Kid Rock. She even shared a photo of herself with the singer on social media.
