Lizzo and Cardi B's "Rumors" lost out to BTS' "Butter" in the Song Of The Summer category at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), but Lizzo did score a win for best artist x creator collab category.

However, the "Truth Hurt's singer was not there to take home the award.

Instead of attending this year's video music awards, she was apparently busy getting busy.

The 33-year-old posted a TikTok video explaining her NSFW absence with a text overlay that read:

"I really won a VMA while I was getting my back blown out last night… I'll be there next year promise."

Her "Rumors" song choice in the video was deliberate, with the following lyrics suggesting what she was occupied with at her own private event.

"All the rumors are true, yeah / I f'ked him and you, yeah."

In her TikTok video that racked up over 4 million likes, she wrote the all-caps caption, "WE WON THE FIRST @mtv VMA FOR A TIKTOK BESTIES!!! WE DID IT—WHERE MY MOONMAN AT?" referring to the iconic trophy of an astronaut holding an MTV flag.

The singer didn't disclose the identity of the person with whom she was doing the deed, but TikTokers suggested it might have been with Marvel's Captain America actor, Chris Evans.

The two have been engaging in flirtatious banter on social media for several months and even joked about their "little bundle of joy."

So, it came as no surprise TikTokers flooded the comments section with Captain America references.
