The singer addressed his 'tough week' after taking the stage in Chicago following his arrest last week for allegedly driving while intoxicated, admitting that 'I know sometimes I’m hard to love.'

Justin Timberlake broke his silence on last week's DWI arrest during his concert in Chicago on Friday.

The singer took the stage at United Center as part of his Forget Tomorrow tour and thanked his fans for their support during his "tough week."

He told the cheering crowd:

“We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights."
“It’s been a tough week."
"But you’re here, and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now.”

The 10-time Grammy winner paused as the audience continued to applaud before adding:

“I know sometimes I’m hard to love."
"But you keep on loving me, and I love you right back."
"Thank you so much.”

You can watch below.

People on social media appreciated Timberlake speaking out about the incident.

Many also disagreed with the singer that he's "hard to love."

Some, however, also expressed their disappointment in Timberlake's decision to get behind the wheel.

Early Tuesday morning, the "Cry Me a River" singer was pulled over in the Hamptons after running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane.

He was taken into custody after he refused to take a blood test and "performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests," per the complaint written by Sag Harbor Village Police Officer Michael Arkinson.

"... the defendant was operating said vehicle in an intoxicated condition in that his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests."

Timberlake maintained that he only had one martini before driving.

In a statement to HuffPost, his attorney Edward Burke Jr., said he is looking “forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations.”

“He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time."

Model Accuses Fashion Brand Of Using AI To Recreate Her Looks For Ad Instead Of Hiring Her

There used to be laws in place for someone's likeness being used without their consent, and most certainly if their likeness was being used in an exploitative way for profit.
