Trump Legal Advisor's 2016 Comments Slamming Trump as an 'Idiot' and Roasting His Supporters Just Resurfaced, and Hoo Boy

As legal advisor and surrogate for President Donald Trump's 2020 reelection campaign, lawyer Jenna Ellis is faced with the unenviable task of justifying Trump's refusal to concede as well as his lies about widespread voter fraud tipping the race to President-elect Joe Biden.

It's a role that Ellis has seized upon since virtually all reliable outlets, guided by experts and data, called the election for Biden nearly two weeks ago.

She's appeared multiple times on news outlets bolstering the lies about voter fraud. On Twitter, she accused Biden of being afraid to "prove" he won the election, apparently forgetting the basic legal term "burden of proof."

But newly resurfaced comments Ellis made in Facebook posts and on local radio shows in Colorado during the 2016 campaign are casting doubt on whether or not she actually believes the falsehoods put forth by Trump that she defends.

In one Facebook post, she said Trump's values were "not American."

In another Facebook post, she said Trump's supporters "DON'T CARE" about facts or logic.

In a February 2016 radio interview, she called Trump an idiot who was "boorish and arrogant." Two months later in another interview, she said Trump "fundamentally goes back and forth and really cannot be trusted to be consistent or accurate in anything."

After Trump secured the 2016 nomination, she began supporting him.

Ellis now says that the resurfaced comments prove how much of a free thinker she is:

"I appreciate KFILE showing clearly through past statements that I think for myself, and that my mind was changed based on fact and personal knowledge. President Trump is a sincere Christian, the best president in modern history, and made and kept his promises to the American people. I am proud to stand with him and his goals for the future of this country and all of its citizens,"

People trolled Ellis, saying her comments were right in 2016.

Her reversal only confirmed to Trump's critics that many of his most notable supporters are in it for money or power.

Design For New Commemorative Coin Featuring Trump Just Dropped—And People Can't Believe It's Real

On March 19, the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts (CFA), comprising people appointed by MAGA Republican President Donald Trump, unanimously approved a final design concept proposed for a 24-karat gold United States semiquincentennial commemorative coin.

Instead of featuring the Declaration of Independence or some other images central to the foundation of the nation in 1776 or more universally recognized symbols from the last 250 years, the CFA chose a sketch based on a photo of Trump leaning over the Resolute desk in the Oval Office for the coin's obverse or "heads" side.

Gavin Newsom Said What We're All Thinking About Trump's Decision To Deploy ICE To Airports

After President Donald Trump moved to deploy ICE agents to U.S. airports amid a partial government shutdown that has caused exceptionally long delays at TSA lines nationwide, California Governor Gavin Newsom pointed out exactly why the move is so troubling for citizens and non-citizens alike.

ICE agents are still getting paid during the shutdown, unlike TSA agents, who are currently working unpaid and struggling amid the affordability crisis. News outlets have confirmed ICE agents have been deployed in airports that serve Democratic strongholds, particularly John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia Airports (New York), O'Hare International Airport (Chicago), and others.
