Ivanka Trump's Hague Trip Raises Eyebrows and Questions

Oh dear.

The tone-deafness of the Trump administration reached a new low on Wednesday after Ivanka Trump, President Donald Trump's daughter and advisor, tweeted that she was "en route to The Hague!"

The Dutch city is best known for housing the International Criminal Court, in which trials are held for war criminals, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

Considering the Trump family's coziness with murderous autocrats like Russia's Vladimir Putin & North Korea's Kim Jong Un, as well as the ongoing humanitarian abuses of immigrants in the United States, Twitter pounced without mercy.

People understandably have questions, like if Ms. Trump will be joined by others who helped implement the "zero tolerance" border policy.

This is probably not the response Ms. Trump anticipated.

Ms. Trump's stopover falls on the eve of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944 that turned the tide of World War II.

Some people think the tweet may have been sent from the future.

Ha ha Hague.
