Hillary Clinton's Response To Trump's U.N. Speech Reminds Us What Could Have Been

Secretary Clinton had some advice for the President after his "dark" and "dangerous" Rocketman speech.

During her Tuesday night appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Secretary Hillary Clinton was asked for her thoughts on President Donald Trump's first address before the United Nations earlier that day.

"I thought it was very dark, dangerous, not the kind of message that the leader of the greatest nation in the world should be delivering," she stated before adding that she had only seen parts of the speech, not the entire thing.

"You should lead with the commitment of trying to avoid conflict however you can," the former Secretary of State said.

As well, President Trump should stress the need for countries to work together to stop North Korea instead of taunting Kim Jong Un.

"What I hoped the president would have said is something along the lines of 'we view this as dangerous to our allies, to the region and even to our country. We call on all nations to work with us to try to end the threat caused to us by Kim Jong-un'." Secretary Clinton stated.

President Trump's U.N. speech, nicknamed "Rocketman", has drawn a lot of criticism for its tone.

...we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket Man (Kim Jong-un) is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime. The United States is ready, willing and able." ~ President Donald Trump

Calling an opponent names plays well in Trump's rallies with his supporters. However it doesn't garner the same reception on the international stage.

News reports on the speech in allied nations like the United Kingdom characterized it as undiplomatic or worse, childish. A sentiment shared by many U.S. leaders who were not as kind as Clinton in their assessment of the speech.

However, President Trump gave himself high marks for his appearance before representatives of 193 countries at the United Nations.

President Trump also reacted to Secretary Clinton's advice in the manner expected by the world based on his past behavior.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
