'The Goonies' Cast Reunited For Ke Huy Quan's Hand-And-Footprint Ceremony—And It's Everything

The cast of the beloved '80s film reunited for the Oscar winner's hand-and-footprint ceremony at L.A.'s famed TCL Chinese Theater on Monday—and fans are delighted.

Hey, you guyyyys! Data found the treasure, which means it's time for The Goonies to go on another adventure!

Ke Huy Quan, who portrayed the beloved Data in the nostalgic '80s film The Goonies, has had an impressive career since starring in the film, including his 2023 Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor in Everything Everywhere All At Once.


Now the actor is back with another major achievement, this time at TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles.

In celebration of his latest film, Love Hurts, Quan was the recipient of the Hand-and-Foot Ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theater, which involved pressing both of his hands and feet into clay.

Look at how happy he is!

To make the moment even more special, most of the cast from The Goonies appearing alongside Quan for his achievement, with the exception of Lord of the Rings' Sean Astin, who played Mikey.

The rest of the original treasure-hunting crew, including Josh Brolin (Brand), Corey Feldman (Mouth), Jeff Cohen (Chunk), and additionally Kerri Green (Andy) were in the audience with proud smiles on their faces as they looked up at their friend.

After the ceremony, the friends all gathered together behind Quan's ceremonial impressions for some truly nostalgic photos.

Like the big brother he was in the film, Josh Brolin also shared some kind words about Quan and his achievements.

Before speaking, Brolin shared a statement from the film's executive producer, Steven Spielberg, who couldn't be there due to traveling.

Spielberg wrote:

"I'm proud of you for your meteoric rise as a child, and then your second meteoric rise as a grown-up."
"Believe me, very few of us get two bites of that apple."

Brolin agreed with Spielberg's sentiment in his own speech.

"You're here, and you're doing something that I thought stopped in the '40s. Obviously, they brought it back for somebody super special, and that's you. I hope you in a very dear place in my heart."
"Quan is truly one of the last existences of the American dream."
"I won't say much other than after 'The Goonies,' I too lived in the ethers of our business for 19-plus years. The only difference being that I was still chipping away at leftovers and trading stocks full time while you pursued a whole other profession and excelled in it famously."
"He has that Midas touch... because you have that heart of gold that you’ve always had, as far back as 40 years it's been. I remember you always having the same heart-driven, totally inclusive disposition, always welcoming, always with open arms."
"I could not be happier for you. I know we all are, all us Goonies, here for an honor that is not only totally deserved but celebrates all that is right in this industry. Love you, pal."

This reunion served as a reminder that it's not necessarily how much time goes by before you receive recognition for an achievement, but rather how loud the praise is when the recognition comes.
