GE Appliances Will Pay $50K For The Next 'Great American Grandma' To Use Their Appliances

Make us preferred on Google

Are you a Grandma with a big heart? Then you might just have what it takes to be GE's "Great American Grandma," who will help demonstrate new GE kitchen appliances for $50,000 a year.

GE published a job posting claiming they're looking for a "big-hearted, age-defying, lives-life-to-the-fullest and brings-out-the-best-in-everyone kind of Grandma."

If you feel that fits the bill, they're also keen on a Grandma who's full of laughs and "believes in tradition but is anything but traditional."

Whatever Grandma GE decides on will work 10-15 hours a month, demonstrating how GE appliances work, for $50,000 a year. On top of that, the lucky grandmother will also receive five new GE kitchen appliances of her own!

To apply, the Grandma or her friends and family must send a video to GE saying why they'd be the ideal "Great American Grandma." Many Grandmas have already posted their auditions online:

Man Goes Viral After Getting Arrested For Standing On Hospital Roof Dressed As Grim Reaper And Staring At Patients

In an overuse of free will and dark humor, 26-year-old Leon Gillespie was arrested and charged a £200 fine for appearing as the Grim Reaper on the roof of the Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital in St. Asaph, Denbighshire.

Though Gillespie attempted to plead that he had appeared as a black "crow" on the roof of the hospital, the judge at Llandudno Magistrates in North Wales wasn't convinced, as the costume included a hood and a long blade, looking like the standard Grim Reaper with its scythe.

The White House Just Ripped Off Nicole Kidman's AMC Ad To Promote MAGA—And Thanks, We Hate It

The White House was criticized after it lampooned AMC's viral Nicole Kidman commercial with an apparent generative-AI parody that closely mimicked the original's visuals and soundtrack to promote the "Golden Age" of MAGA.

Instead of an AMC theater, the spoof uses the White House as its setting and replaces Kidman with a man wearing a MAGA hat.
