After a Justin Bieber fan account on TikTok shared a video claiming that 2018-2019 Billie Eilish would've thought current Billie is a "loser," her brother Finneas called it out in the comments.

Anyone who knows anything about Billie Eilish knows that "Billie Eilish" and "loser" do not belong in the same sentence.

Even if a person is not a fan of her music, they can at least appreciate her individual style of clothing, music, and performance style.

Eilish has unfortunately been criticized since she became popular at the age of sixteen, largely because she wore clothing that was several sizes larger than what society deemed she "needed" to wear, so unnecessary emphasis was placed on her appearance instead of her craft.

And leave it to the public to flip the script and continue to criticize her when, at 24 years old, her style is still very much her own but also different than what she wore at the age of 16, which would be a natural progression for most, if not all, people.

Be that as it may, TikToker @jbeibersbiggestfan, who claims to be a fan account for Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish, posted a video with a collection of throwback photos of Billie Eilish, approximately from the age of 16 through the rest of her teens, and not featuring any recent photos of her.

The caption of the video read:

"RIP 2018 to 2019 Billie."
"You would've thought 2026 Billie is a loser."

Billie Eilish fans were immediately furious with the insinuation that the artist wasn't still cool, even if she has grown and is different than she was in her teens.

Even Billie Eilish's brother, Finneas, commented on the video:

"I watched you all pick apart this 16 year old and I watch you pick apart this 24 year old and all I see is a young woman brave enough to grow and show empathy"

Shortly after Finneas commented, the TikToker turned off the comments before taking down the video entirely.

Instagrammer @finneas.myworld, a fan account to Finneas and Billie Eilish, did manage to repost.

Finneas's defense of Billie gained traction on the "FauxMoi" subReddit, where Redditors applauded not only Finneas's speaking up on his sister's behalf but their overall healthy relationship as siblings.

"Such a sweet sentiment from a protective older brother. I think he should avoid interacting with Stans altogether." - PaleontologistNo5420

"They have the healthiest sibling relationship I’ve ever witnessed, and I don’t think it’s performative. I think it’s genuine. I love them." - tacomamajama

"I wish this wasn't necessary, but I can at least say that it's extremely sweet. He’s very much the protective big bro." - According_Plant701

"2018 to 19 me would have thought 2026 me is a loser too. It's a natural part of growing up. I have IBS, so." - S**tMyButtSays

"2018 me would have thought 2026 me is amazing. So would have every other version of me as far back as I can remember. I am the me I dreamed of. Billie might say the same thing, and that 'stan' had no right to try to take that away from her." - FunProof543

"Every time I see this young woman, I just think, god, I hope she’s okay. She gets so much crap for just being creative and unique and fresh, not a carbon copy of everything going on around her." - a_daisy_summer

"Considering she was struggling with depression from 2018 to 2019, I’d say 2026 Billie has a lot to be proud of, and that 'fan' should shut the f**k up." - thesarannee

"Honestly, good for him. I’ve seen people say some nasty things about them both, and it’s exhausting. I do hope she is okay, and for what it’s worth, him, too." - Ruthie_pie

"Such a stupid thing to come from a supposed fan, when Billie herself expresses a lot of self-love in 'Hit Me Hard and Soft.' 'SKINNY' verse one comes to mind. I think 16-year-old Billie would be relieved that her adult self is kind and still unapologetically states her opinions in interviews. I'm glad her brother could and will speak to that." - WrittenByRae

"His response was really sweet, and maybe this is parasocial of me, but it gives me hope. It can be so easy to slowly lose contact with your siblings as we age, grow, move, have families, etc. I’ve been getting closer again with my youngest sibling in the past few years, and it’s awesome. Sometimes it’s like we’re kids again." - booferella

This is honestly nothing that Finneas should ever have to say, but there are always going to be people out there who speak up when someone looks a little different or travels a different path. Billie Eilish is nothing short of unique, which some people cannot seem to accept. Maybe with a little personal growth, they'll be able to treasure the fact that she remains true to herself.
