Eric Trump Just Tweeted Urging Minnesota to 'Get Out and Vote!!!' and People Can't Stop Mocking Him

For months, President Donald Trump and his allies have fought expanded voting access in the face of the pandemic that's killed over 230 thousand Americans.

One of the measures the Trump campaign has repeatedly opposed is extended voting deadlines, especially in Pennsylvania, where there were efforts to count votes up to three days after Election Day, as long as the envelope was postmarked by Election Day.

Despite this vocal opposition to expanded voting access, one of the President's sons—Eric Trump—tweeted for Minnesota to "get out and vote!!!" seven days after the election.

The tweet, which was deleted soon after Eric Trump posted it, was most likely scheduled for a week prior, Election Day.

Considering President-elect Joe Biden's defeat of Trump, which news outlets called on Saturday, the timing was inopportune to say the least. The awkwardness was only made worse with the Trump campaign's continued refusal to acknowledge the results of the 2020 election, claiming widespread voter fraud tipped the election to Biden.

People didn't hesitate to mock Eric Trump for the poorly-timed tweet.

Trump's critics often joke about Eric's intellect, and this tweet certainly didn't help.

The blunder comes only days after the Trump campaign held a Saturday press conference at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping Company, which they apparently believed was a Four Seasons hotel.

Former GOP Senator Gets Brutal Wakeup Call After Criticizing People For Playing 'Candy Crush' Instead Of 'Making Babies'

Ben Sasse represented Nebraska in the United States Senate from 2015 to 2023. As a Midwestern moderate, the sometimes controversial Sasse was often critical of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump on social media and on the Senate floor.

At one point, the Nebraska GOP censured him because of his criticism of Trump. But Sasse, like Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins, would still vote with the majority of his party when his vote was needed to back Trump's agenda.
