The film, a joint project of several production companies, including Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures, includes and all-star cast and a big enough budget to do the beloved story justice. It is scheduled for release in December of 2019, so it will be just in time for holiday viewing next year.

Emma Watson as Meg, Saoirse Ronan as Jo, Eliza Scanlen as Beth, Florence Pugh as Amy, Timothée Chalamet as Laurie, and Director Greta Gerwig posed for the first photo seen from on-set. Posted by Emma Watson on Twitter, it shows the group hanging out on set.

The internet had all sorts to say about the pic, and the film, turning to twitter to voice their excitement.

Some people were super excited about the cast, specifically Emma and Timothée.

Many people reminisced about the importance of the story to their families and themselves.

Little Women is a story that has touched the lives of many, especially girls and young women. It is part of the English Literature curriculum at many schools in the US, so many Americans are at least passinglyfamiliar with the story.

There have been several film adaptations of the story before now, but it is such a nuanced story that it can be reinterpreted and each telling still seems fresh.

This retelling is set to focus more on the girls' young adult years, and should provide a new perspective into the lives of the March Sisters.

Many people are very excited about this iteration. The amazing cast, including Meryl Streep as Aunt March, make this a movie worth looking forward to.

Palm Beach County records show that Trump cast a mail-in ballot earlier this week in the special election for Florida’s House District 87, the district that includes his Mar-a-Lago residence. He also voted by mail in the January primary for the same race.
